How to Save Money at Marina Animal Clinic Inc
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

My elderly pup had passed away. I didn't know what to do, I showed up at Marina animal clinic with him. They took my boy in and helped me figure out what to do. We had my Cody cremated, the remains were delivered back to Marina. About a week later I got a card from them. They took his little paw print (He was missing 2 toes. They were removed because of a tumor previously. No, they didn't mess up his print, it's perfect.) and a snoot print. That was the sweetest thing ever, I never expected that. I truly appreciate it. Such a beautiful keepsake.

They are always efficient considering how many patients they see in a day and on a drop-in basis. They are fair on pricing. They use logic when developing a treatment plan and always consider the owner's input, concerns, and financial situation when making decisions. They have been around and consistent for decades and I really appreciate knowing they are there when my fur babies need medical care. Thank you. ❤️

So wonderful. It’s a walk in clinic so I expect a wait, but when they thought my boy might have a blockage, they checked for that immediately and when they determined it wasn’t life threatening, I was told I’d need to wait (which I was 100000% okay with!). They were so sweet and kind with my grouchy sick cat and their prices were incredibly reasonable for all that was done for my boy. I was there for about 2.5 hours which wasn’t bad at all. Someone was very upset in there today when their dog was brought in in distress and later passed, but they worked immediately and quickly to help the dog once it was brought in. I will definitely be back for vet care for my kitties!

Marina Animal Clinic is the best I've encountered. They have been with me through letting my 17 yr old weenie dog go, my 10 year old black cat with cancer, TNRing ferals from my neighborhood, and now we have an office cat with FIV and they walk me through every bout of illness she has and show so much care for her and making sure she has a good quality of life. I know that when it is time to let her go, they will walk me through that, as well. I am a crier and they are always so kind knowing that we are dealing with our babies. I've moved out of town so I am using a local vet for my at home kitties, but they don't have the same passion and caring that MAC does. Thank you to everyone that works there. And you are really helping an area in Tulsa that is lucky to have you.

I would like to preface this review with a couple of thoughts on the negative reviews associated with this practice. *If you can't properly spell, punctuate or capitalize, just don't bother. Matriculation is an important thing. *Unless you live in a place that takes Monopoly money for services rendered, objections for payment is absurd. I know. Weird, right? My family recently moved here from Houston, Texas. Our15 year old Maltese, Sebastian, began showing the signs that his life span was coming to an end. It was literally a dice roll on a clinic. After calling several different clicics, I spoke with a young lady named Kendra. The compassion she had resonated through the phone. We brought him in and the staff as well as the doctor were incredibly caring and compassionate with both me and Sebastian. For that, I will always be grateful. My family thanks you. As we were leaving, we looked up and saw a rainbow in a cloudless sky. I'd like to think that meant something.
