How to Save Money at 15th Street Veterinary Group
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I have honestly not used this vet for my own pets much as I grew up going to a veterinary in a neighboring city and have continued to use them in my adult life. But after moving to North Tulsa several years ago I started going here for smaller services, as well as anytime I pick up a stray and need to have them looked over for whatever reason, and have been extremely pleased. Everyone is friendly across the board and I have yet to have to wait long to be seen, even though all of my visits have been walk-ins. I had to make tough calls two different times with sickly/injured stray cats I found and they were wonderful with making sure I was aware of all of my options available to me. They were very supportive and kind, while also being realistic. I had to make the hard choice of letting both of them go due to the severity of their injuries/illness and the vet and staff I worked with on both cases handled everything wonderfully, making sure it was as painless and peaceful as possible for both of the cats. They were wonderful with not making me feel rushed to make my decision and gave me all the time I needed to grieve after the procedures. Something I will never forget is that not a single person I worked with on either of these occasions made me feel silly for grieving over these cats losses when both times I had just found the cats earlier that day. This may seem like a given, but unfortunately I know first hand that is not always the case. I will continue to use this vet group for all of my local needs and always recommend them to the people in my life.

Great service from the time we walk in until we leave. Always friendly and answer any questions we might have. My sister recommended this vet to us and we will continue to bring our babies here to be cared for. Thank you for loving and caring for our babies as much as we do!

I cannot say enough good about the entire staff! We brought our baby Presley (Saint Bernard) to them on a spur of the moment for swelling in her left leg. After an xray they let us know they were almost positive it was bone cancer BUT that it could possibly be just an infection so they sent us home with very strong antibiotics etc in hopes to help her get better. Unfortunately, she did not improve after 2 weeks of trying we decided to lay her to rest. I cannot begin to explain the love & care they showed not only us during a difficult time but Presley as well. My younger (12 & 9) daughters wanted to be in the room as we laid her down and they were very accommodating to that. Price wise they were even better than the vet we had previously been using that’s about an hour 1/2 away (they’re still amazing too though)! Last but not least… As I mentioned my younger daughters were apart of the whole process and they (15th street vet) made sure to include them (my girls) when they sent us a sympathy card with Presley footprint. They sent two extra cards for each of my girls to have❤️ Thank you SO much to the entire staff for everything through this extremely difficult time for our family!!! We will be bringing our German Shepherd to you next😊

My dog is my child... and I wouldn't trust my sweet little pup to just anyone. Dr. Green and all the staff have always provided great care for our dog. They love on her and make sure she feels comfortable since she is usually nervous when at the vet since unfortunately she only goes when she needs something done. I couldn't be happier with the care she receives. This location is not convenient for me but I make the drive because I wouldn't trust my dog to anyone else. Thank you to the great staff at 15th street! We love you, even if Ollie doesn't always seem happy to see you! She knows she is in good hands.

They were so good and gentle and sweet with my spicy 16lb loaf of bread that he was chill enough to sleep on the table while they were out of the room. They are usually packed but they move pretty quick in my opinion. If you're willing to be a little patient and not be seen within 2 seconds then I highly recommend them. They're knowledgeable and kind and will take time to answer all your questions if you have any. I'm very thankful to have this walk in clinic nearby.
