How to Save Money at LoveNCare Animal Hospital

Schedule Regular Vet Visits

One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.

Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions

Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.

Pet Insurance

Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Getting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask

Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:

Tell me about your experience with [pet type].

Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.

How do you handle emergencies?

You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.

How do you communicate with pet owners?

Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.

Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?

Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.

Do you have any questions for me about my pet?

This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.

Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?

Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

The staff and Dr. Beidi was amazing!! I was so traumatized when Dr.Beidi did an x-ray on my Nala. The Dr told me her femur broke and she might lose her leg! That whole weekend I cried and was so sad for my Nala. Friday February 16th was her surgery day and Dr.Beidi saved her leg and when he called me I cried and was rejoiced! He saved my fur baby and she’s my emotional support pet! Also, after surgery Dr. Beidi made numerous calls to Che cleveland on Nala and I was so grateful for that. Nala wasn’t eating after surgery and Dr. Beidi told me about the AD food prescription for dogs. I went to his vet after hours and his wonderful assistant was there and gave me a free can of food to start off with. After that she started eating!!!! Thank Dr.Beidi and your staff for an amazing experience!

They were very nice and compassionate with our dog, they still ask how she's doing, and they did her surgery fairly fast.

PLEASE READ PET PARENTS....If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. Please do not trust this vet clinic, the Dr is money hungry and IMO that's all he really cares about. It has taken me well over 6 months to write this review. We lost our dear sweet Taz (a 5lb morkie)in May '23 because this "quack" thought it was ok to give her multiple vaccines then put her under for surgery. Dogs are not required to have a COVID and FLU vaccine. He only wanted to run up our bill. Our Taz was healthy, happy, and we loved her immensely!!! While I should have done my due diligence and did the research, I trusted that what this vet was telling was correct, I didn't want my dog to be pain and wanted to help her as fast as I could. This vet told us she had heart disease...she didn't...he gave her too many drugs all at once, and her little body couldn't take it. Please pet parents, do your research, ask questions and be"leery" of this clinic, DO NOT LET THEM DOPE UP YOUR ANIMAL.

Left my dog there for 5 days with an tooth infection under her eye. It was almost healed when I dropped her off, but when I picked my dog up, the infection was much worse. All I know I did what i was supposed to do, and it wasn't leaking much, and there wasn't much hair around it. Now it back to square one. It was no doubt close to being healed, when I left her, whether you charged or not.

Very over priced for services rendered. No consultation on treatment prior to providing it, and no discussion on the cost prior to giving you a huge bill at the end of the service. I called today to clarify how long my cat with ringworm is contagious after starting their prescribed treatment and they said the vet is out of town and that they think it will take weeks for her to not be contagious. How are they open until 2pm without even having a vet available? Also, during the cats first visit they "dewormed" her. During the second visit she had tapeworm. When asked about it they said they dewormed for a different type of worm. We assumed dewormed was dewormed, not half dewormed so we had already let the cat be around our other animals. I've been to a lot of vets over the years and I have never experienced anything like this place.
