How to Save Money at PetVet365 Pet Hospital Cincinnati/Anderson

Schedule Regular Vet Visits

One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.

Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions

Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.

Pet Insurance

Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Getting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask

Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:

Tell me about your experience with [pet type].

Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.

How do you handle emergencies?

You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.

How do you communicate with pet owners?

Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.

Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?

Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.

Do you have any questions for me about my pet?

This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.

Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?

Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

The team at the Anderson location are all friendly and definitely care about you and your pet. We first brought our kitty in at the start of last week when he was feeling unwell. He was brought in several times throughout the week. He continued to decline and we had to bring him again. The last visit in Anderson they gave me the news that it probably wasn’t good and he needed surgery. I couldn’t afford to go to the emergency room. My tech and vet helped to find me a location who could do the surgery. Unfortunately the damage done was too severe and we had to make sure the humane decision to let him go. We will miss you our golden boy.

The staff and Dr. Lambert were amazing with our new puppy, Lady. I didn’t feel rushed at all and the doctor was thorough and spent a lot of time with us answering questions. Both Anderson and Hyde Park locations are amazing, clean and I so highly recommend them. They are open 7 days too which is unheard of! Our pets have been spoiled with treats and pb pup cups. Thanks team.

First learned about petvet365 when hunting down a place that would immediately see my pup due to a what I was worried was a medical emergency. Alot of vet "emergency" clinics overuse the word emergency to classify their practice when they actually won't see any "emergencies" without an appointment. This place can be in the category, but once I showed up there (by accident actually due to confusion on my end but thats a whole separate story) they saw the urgency of my pups need and took me in right away and helped ease my worry about my pups situation, provided a professional diagnosis and was great with my boy. So much so that they are now my new primary vet for his normal check ups as well after my previous provider was acquired and dumped me and my pup with no notice until the day of his annual checkup. That's another matter that has nothing to do with this great place, thank you guys so much. Koda loves yall too!

SIGNIFICANTLY EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS🐾 Initially I was seeking a 2nd opinion from Dr. Lambert. I found her to be personable professional and extremely knowledgeable. She takes her time to explain things and answered all our questions. Her determination to provide us with answers, pertaining to our pets condition, went way beyond what any other Dr was willing to do. Her collaboration with fellow Veterinarians literally saved us several thousands of dollars. W O R L D C L A S S S E R V I C E! Dr. Lambert's staff are knowledgeable, friendly, gentle and patient with the pets. The exam rooms are bright, cheery, clean & cutely. The feeling is more like a room in a house, instead of a regular Veterinary office. My 2 Chihuahuas were not shaking, like they usually do at the Dr's office. They provide dog treats, in room, and distracted my pups with doggy whipped cream cups during injections. Sorry this is so long, but I'm passionate about my pups care. Everything about PetVet365 was fabulous. I urge you to bump up the quality of your pets care and book an appointment. You'll be so glad you did🐾

I took my cat here when he was having urinary issues. I scheduled the appointment on a Sunday and was able to get him taken care of early the next morning. The staff was very friendly and took great care of my boy. They gave pricing for all the recommended services before doing anything and the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely bring my pets here again!
