How to Save Money at Mariemont Veterinary Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
A very long overdue review. I am a very anxious pet owner. As someone who is always concerned about their pets health and wants nothing but for her to be happy and healthy, Marimont Veterinary not only understands my anxiety, but soothes it. My cat Willow has had quite a few visits to Marimont for Asthma, urinary problems, her first senior panel, and dental surgery and has always resulted with good solutions and answers to all my questions. Not to mention, they are so affordable where I never have to worry about getting my cat the help she needs. Thank you for always handling my crazy pet mom worries!

Dr Zola was amazing! He did same day testing which was awesome! I was honestly expecting to wait a few days, gave wonderful at home instructions and overall was truly amazing. I do plan on staying with this vet for a very very long time. Atmosphere was also great 10/10 would recommend :)

I want to thank you all so very much for giving my Kitty MissySue a chance to get better. You took me after literally calling 7 other vet offices that wouldn't give me any time due to not wanting a lot of test done on a 21 yr old cat and because I explained I didn't have a lot of money. Dr Ben worked it out to do what he thought would help her and get her back on track. Unfortunately when she didn't improve, I felt Missy was just to old and ready to go. You helped me feel good about my decision to let her go to the Rainbow Bridge. Your procedures with euthanizing pets made it so so much easier on me and her. She went peacefully and I held her the whole time. I am glad the vet tech helped me to decide to stay with her, I would have felt guilty forever had I not stayed and held her to the end. Dr. Ben .. thank you so much for everything you did for us. You were so kind and caring for both Missy and I from trying to give her a chance, to finally sending her over the Rainbow Bridge. You and your entire staff are amazing! All of you helped from carrying Missy in and out to the car because of my oxygen, to just being so understanding and kind. I will be forever grateful to each and every one of you! I will always recommend Mariemont Veterinary Clinic to everyone I know. ❤️❤️ I highly recommend Mariemont Veterinary Clinic!!! Truly the Best! Forever Grateful Tracy and MissySue

Mariemont Veterinary Clinic as a whole has been awesome with our dog and our cat! I do want to brag on Dr. Ben though, he gets in the floor with our dog and is just incredibly kind and takes his time with him. All of the vet techs are awesome, super responsive to appointment requests, and treat our animals like their own. You can tell that everyone at this practice loves animals and wants the best for them.

Thank you so much for helping my little kitty! The vet, Dr. Ben, was super thorough and explained everything to as well as did not push any treatment on us. I really appreciated the professionalism of the whole team as well from the front desk to vet techs in the back. We were in and out in no time with all the information we needed to help keep out kitty nice and happy and healthy. Thank you!
