How to Save Money at The Veterinarians at Court Square
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Dr. Djuric is a wonderful veterinarian to my new Yorkie puppy. She was patient to explain and let me make the decision. She informed about what kind of dog food I should get for him and it was helpful because I was kind of surprised the seller was using a brand that could be dangerous. Overall, I like the vet, location, atmosphere. The staff were wonderful. There one thing I was not too happy was the cost because I felt it was still a little too high but that's reality.

I first visited the Vets Court Square a year ago for the annual check up of one of my cats and was instantly impressed with the time the doctors took, and especially the way in which they articulated important medical issues in a comprehensive manner. They even gave me a call a few days later to discuss my cat's bloodwork with me over the phone - something Weill Cornell never does for my own bloodwork. Service and care were exceptional. Today, I had one of those visits which all pet owners and lovers fear and are afraid of, but have to inevitably make in their pets' lives - the final visit during which I had to waive farewell and goodbye to our beloved cat. Words can not sufficiently express how gracefully, patiently and empathetically the entire staff at the office handled the situation which is tragic and heartbreaking for me, but also must be an everyday incidence to them, a routine if something like this ever can become a routine for anyone. Front-desk, nurses and practitioners could not have been more forthcoming, gentle and tender with my cat and myself, all the while being upfront and honest with me, never sugar-coating anything, not trying to up-sell me (so not New York of them - and I would have thrown money at them if they had given me even the slightest glimmer of hope), and just hitting the right tone and the right pace throughout the entire ordeal. Most importantly they gave me the feeling that they and I, that we did the right thing for our cat, did right by him. We were never rushed, I was given as much privacy and time as I wanted and needed, and no matter how strange and weird it sounds: they managed to make the inevitable, the sad and devastating weirdly beautiful as much as this is possible in the given circumstances. While I am still mourning, I am filled with gratitude for what the Vets at Court Square have done for us and with us today. I wish I could introduce a 6th or 7th star for the service and treatment that we received. Great people, every single one of the five individuals I dealt with today. Thank you very, very much - you are a great group of beautiful human beings.

These are seriously good vets. They know our German Shepherd by name and are very good with her. You are not a number. They helped us prepare our dog for international shipment and went all the way to support which is much appreciated given it is a high stress project as is.

I have dogs / cats for the last 15 years. Through out all this time I have taken my dogs/cats to a lot of different places. I have never ever felt so comfortable been at a vet's office. The Vet, nurse and assistant were extremely knowledgeable and amazing with my dog they are very professional. They were able to help me understand the issue my dog had. they offered my dog a treat once they walked into the room then they took a picture of him for his chart after sometime the doctor came and she was extremely gentle but you can tell she was working extremely careful and focused on the aim target. The other vet I took my dog asked me to take him to another vet to have him checked which I did and boy I am glad I did! will bring my puppy here from now on.

I swear by this vet and will NEVER take my boys to another vet. Vets at court square and LIC vets are my holy grails for my heart murmur old man and garbage eating pupper. They are so kond to them and even if I see one vet and run into another in the hall, or waiting room, they ask how my boys are and their kindness does NOT go unnoticed. Also my dogs are obsessed with all the vet techs they see them and KNOW they’re getting tummy skritches. Top notch
