How to Save Money at Glove Cities Veterinary Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
My best friend was turned away for service for her Ill cat because, she couldn’t afford their $300.00 entry fee. This is how they penalize those who do not call in advance to make a appointment to bring in their Ill pets. My friend and I are new to the area and we did not know were to go and we found this facility on Google Search. We needed help with her feline and I was her only transportation. My friend left the facilities in tears and her feline is still Ill. A few weeks later a nice person reached out to my friend and offered to pay for the care of her feline, this wonderful person paid this facility the money up front. “The final result of being turned away, my friends feline was put down at this facility because, the poison that was in her little body had spread through her entire system. The sadness was over whelming for my friend that she could hardly breath, she had to say her final good byes. So now there was another charge to have her feline cremated, Which I paid a majority of it even though I live on a fixed income, (my friend was informed that her feline would be cremated with a bunch of other animals and she would not get the ashes so I couldn’t stand by and watch as my friends world crashed down around her). Had this facility took her in she may have had a long life ahead of her but, instead it was cut short. ~R.I.P. Nutcase you are missed.~

All members of the staff were extremely friendly and you could see how much they love animals by how they were with my pup. The tech and vet listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. Raijin loved everyone and showed no signs of stress during his appointment due to the loving treatment received by all.

Appointments are very timely when I feel I need to have one of my dogs seen. All staff are friendly and accommodating to the max! Dr. Sharpe is so knowledgeable and helpful! My all time favorite is the timing of appointments so you are not sitting in waiting room with a bunch of other animals!!

Dr. Sharpe and Glove Cities has been our Vet for multiple generations of pets. She and they are knowledgeable and have taken great care of our pets. During a recent trip Sarah was great with our pups especially our special needs dog with terrible anxiety, shes one of the only people who can clip her nails. Gillian up front is also great, always a friendly voice on the phone. We have used Glove Cities Vet for surgeries and everyday preventable services for years. When we need anything they are there for us and are upfront and open with things such as prices, what meds, vaccines, tests, or procedures can wait and what can’t. Dr. Will has taken care of my in-laws pets as well. So really our whole local family uses them. Overall a great place to keep our pets healthy and happy.

Brought my dog here a while back when she was bit by another dog and we have been coming here exclusively since. The vets and techs here really seem to care about animals and love their job. They are extremely kind and gentle to my dog and are very knowledgeable and thorough. They have been flexible with scheduling and their prices are on par with most other locations. Thank you for what you have done for my pup and me, we really do appreciate it.
