How to Save Money at Petco Vaccination Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
They were very professional. I was truly surprised that they really gave her physical besides her vaccines. They treated my Dutchess with gentleness, she doesn't like getting on the table so the Vet sat on the floor to check her out and give her vaccines. Great!!!

This is the worse location for Vetco I have EVER been to. Vetco do better. These are clearly inexperienced vets who prefer dogs over cats. I tried telling them that she is scared and prefers when I hold her. But they just wouldn't listen. They ended up taking her to the bathroom so she wouldn't run away and when I said I wanted to go all 3 of them completely ignored me. I couldn't even see what they were doing to her in there. They took so long to get 1 out of 2 shots in. Terrible job. Vetco isn't the problem the three vets at this location are absolutely deplorable. In other locations I have worked with the Vet to hold my cat down and the Vet instructed me to talk as I did to calm her down. AND SURPRISE IT ACTUALLY WORKED!! When the 3 excuses for professionals at this location FINALLY came out of the bathroom and told me they could only do one shot. I again suggested me holding her. One of them said we can't let you do that because we dont want her to scratch you. I HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE. She is my cat, I know how to hold her. That vet even brought up an unnecessary story about a different customer, just to make it seem like I don't know what I am talking about. I have had my cat for 9 years. NINE. I know how to handle her and other locations know that as well. A disgrace, they definitely put Vetco to shame. They should get fired for pretending to know how to handle cats. Vetco needs to bring vets that can actually care for cats and that don't judge. That same vet said, "Why do I always get the bad cat?" My cat isn't bad, she is just scared, you just don't know how to handle cats because you clearly don't like them. An actual shame. Vetco do better at this location because your others have actual vets experienced with cats and their behavior. Just an FYI at the other location we got blood test, rabies, and 4 in 1 done in less time than it did for them to come out of the bathroom. And we did it all on the table designated for this in the store, with a vet that actually knew how to hold cats.

I had a great experience here at this petco using the vetco services, all of the staff are very informative. The vets assistants Brianna H did an amazing job and knew exactly what she was talking about when I asked her several questions about my puppies vaccinations. She was so helpful, the vet as well was extremely nice. I was also seen very quickly, my blue nose puppy and I will definitely be back !!

They indicate services on your sheet that they did not conduct. Came for a Bordetella shot and when I reviewed the paper receipt it said they conducted a full check up took temperature examined do when they did NOT. I want my slip accurate not fluffed. So I made them change it as my dog her annual checkup already from her vet.
