How to Save Money at Integrative Veterinary Hospital, LLC
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

We cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible care our 7-year-old Corgi, Jeff, has received at the Integrative Vet Hospital. From the moment we started treatment for his lymphoma, Dr. Nancy Brandt has been a key provider in his recovery journey. Her expertise in acupuncture has been unparalleled—after searching around, we found her techniques to be the absolute best in town. Jeff’s treatment plan has involved Chinese medicine, essential oils, acupuncture, vitamin therapy, and a specific diet since last year. Dr Brandt really understands the research. We are thrilled to share that Jeff has been in remission for three months now! Dr. Lane has also been amazing, and their combined medical advice has truly made a difference in Jeff's treatment. The front office staff is always warm and welcoming, happy to see Jeff. We feel so fortunate to have such dedicated and knowledgeable professionals looking after our beloved fur child. Additionally, Dr. Brandt's book Evolutionary Feeding of Pets is a must-read for anyone with a dog or cat. It has provided us with invaluable insights into maintaining Jeff's overall health. Thank you, Integrative Vet Hospital staff, Dr. Brandt, and Dr. Lane, for your exceptional care and support. Jeff's progress is a testament to your dedication and expertise. Highly recommended! - Karlyn, Jordan, and Jeff

I really loved Dr Carol Jean Tillman when she was at Animal Kingdom. She helped my Chow Chow with her allergies and hot spots. My review for her got 3500+ views!!! I went back to her after she joined Integrative Vet Hospital. She was very caring and remembered little details about my dog. However, her assistant was not up to par. She could not take my dog's temperature from her ears, and could not do what was necessary for a blood panel. They said better to wait when she's sedated for teeth cleaning by Dr. Tillman. They gave me an appointment for her dental work, but I wanted my dog to be Dr Tilman's first patient that day. A girl at the front desk said it was not possible to re-schedule for that purpose, and did not want to schedule her for the next month. So I canceled the appt. I think that Dr Tillman is an excellent holistic vet but it seems like she does not have qualified vet tech support or cooperation at the front desk. If her assistant is afraid of dogs, then maybe she's in the wrong field.

STAY AWAY. Loyal patient since Animal Kingdom, but we are could no longer tolerate the quality of service of after a few times at this office. The front desk is unorganized and unprofessional, especially Victoria. I called and texted since it is impossible to get anyone on the phone. She left a message for me to pick up the medicine from 9-2. We lived across town and made the drive only for her to tell me the Dr has to approve it first and the Dr is only there on Wed. She had plenty of chances to tell us this ahead of time. She did not apologize and refused to give us the name of the office manager as we try to find a solution. She was unhelpful and unreasonably rude instead. This is a medicine we can buy on Amazon but chose to come since we like to support our Dr. Our appointments at this office were always two hours behind. We WILL NOT return. Victoria was the last straw. Poor manner, unprofessional worker.

I am disappointed to leave this review, but I have been waiting for over a month for a callback after submitting my information online. I have also attempted to call multiple times without receiving a response. While I have had positive experiences in the past, I will take this as a sign to seek a more organized office.

We love the care we receive for our dogs at Integrative Vet. Everyone is always happy and friendly. The vets really take their time to understand what is going on whenever something is up with one of our pups. I'll continue to make the drive from Henderson for their services.
