How to Save Money at Veterinary Dentistry Specialists
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Our primary vet, Rancocas Veterinary Associates, referred us to VDS for our 9-month-old pup's dental issues. He had a tooth growing through his palate 😞. We made an appointment for a consultation to determine the next steps, and as luck would have it, they managed to fit him in for surgery that same day as there was a cyst developing behind the tooth. The entire VDS staff was amazing—from the front desk to the vet techs, veterinarian, and surgeon. We felt completely at ease with the care our pup received. The surgery went well, and he recovered quickly. The cyst could have led to much more serious issues, so we are incredibly grateful to the team for their support.

I have waited so long to write this review because I haven’t been able to find the words that can begin to adequately express how grateful I am for this office, the team, Dr. Feuer, and Dr. Eroshin. When we say, Dr. Eroshin saved our dog’s life, we really mean it! Our 13 year old Corgi, Happy, was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) last summer and we had to quickly find a surgeon to operate and remove it. I researched for days and when I found this office, I quickly called the office to get something scheduled. They called me back the very next day and the office was able to schedule us for an appointment to see the doctor within less than a month. As you can imagine, we were very anxious and nervous, but when we saw Dr. Eroshin, he was not only confident that he could help Happy but also was very thorough to ensure Happy could fully heal as Happy was also dealing with some skin issues. From that first appointment, we knew Happy was in great hands. So the first appointment was to ensure proper diagnosis and then the following week Dr. Eroshin and his team performed a mandibular to remove Happy’s tumor. The surgery was a great success and Dr. Eroshin was able to get the proper margins and remove the tumor completely. And not only did he remove the tumor successfully, but he and Dr. Feuer stayed on top of Happy’s care from a whole health standpoint and encouraged us to figure out what Happy’s skin issues were which led us to find he had lupus discoid which can increase the likelihood of SCC. Today, Happy is completely healed and back to being his joyful self. He can also eat and drink normally. It’s almost been a year and I am still so grateful every day to Dr. Eroshin and the team that saved our boy’s life. THANK YOU!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 If your pet has ANY dental needs, please see VDS. Your beloved pet will get the best care and you will not regret it.

Very professional, the place was very clean and organized. Peewee was taken care of very well by doctors and staff. A bit pricey, but that was expected given it is a specialist dentistry place and he is a high risk patient. He is doing very well at home after oral surgery.

Wonderful experience - this was my first time getting dental work for my pup, and coming in I was a little nervous since she had a broken tooth. Dr Eroshin did an amazing job and explained everything in detail about the procedure, and gave me an extensive follow up call explaining how the procedure went. It was very clear that everyone who was part of the team loves animals and had my pups comfort in mind at all times. This is the only veterinary dentist I would ever use - special thanks to Ornella who made a point of contacting me the next day to check in on my pups wellbeing!
