How to Save Money at Animal Clinic of Millville
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I am impressed by the cleanliness and spread out floor plan for those of us who have semi animal friendly dogs. I believe the cost is slightly elevated than I used to pay at my personal vet in NV. But affordable and great staff. I do believe the follow up appts could be at a discount. The flea med recommended is expensive but cheaper at their little shop. Basically we can all improve on things. Personally and professionally and I think this vet is close to getting it right. I recommend them, I trust them, and the most impressive part of my experience is my dog who trusts nobody, will walk right back without me after the scale. He knows where to go and leaves me behind! Nothing like any other vet ever. He's a tad excited in the waiting area but his breathing calms as soon as we are in the back area with the staff. In his 8 years I've never seen his behavior so relaxed with a nurse or a vet. So five stars from my furry son!

We just recently adopted a puppy. Molly is an new addition to our family. We've used the Animal clinic before when we had a cat (Sheldon) until he passed. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The Animal Clinic of Millville is an amazing place to take your pet. They have done an amazing job caring for my cats. I’ve been very attached to my pets and would never settle for anything less than the best for them. My first cat had a lot of health problems and they helped her to live a longer life than expected. They gave her medication for her heart problems, removed her teeth, and treated her skin problems. When it was her time, they helped her to pass in the most comfortable way possible. She was also cremated there. The box and engraving was a very special way to honor her. Then they provided information on how I could adopt another cat. I got another tuxedo cat and they are always there for me when I call. They genuinely care for my cat. She has skin allergies but other than that she is very healthy. They take their time and give her topical medications so that she heals and is always feeling her best. I really trust Animal Clinic of Millville. I would recommend it to anyone who is searching for a vet that provides high quality care. I’m very grateful for this wonderful place!

I could not be more grateful for this office! Our 2 year old Ragdoll decided to be naughty and eat a really long balloon string.. Thanks to one of their amazing vet techs(Sarah L) , we we’re scheduled and seen within a few short hours. Max had the best care and is on the mend after surgery. We can’t thank them enough! I highly recommend!!

An excellent animal clinic. Vets and staff were consistently professional, honest, open, and empathic. IMO, prices are reasonable for the exceptional care they provide. Treats/treated my cat like family. Calming decor (stuffed animals, ark theme, Bible quotes everywhere) also. Will definitely go back.
