How to Save Money at Brick Town Veterinary Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

The most caring of people we have ever met. After 14 wonderful years with our dog Zooey, we had to say goodbye this month... the doctor and staff were amazing. They sat with us on the floor as we held our girl in our arms. One the most painful times in your life is when a pet owner says goodbye to loved one.. in many ways it hurts as much or even more than the loss of a friend or family member. As we saw her take her last breath I turned to my right to see the Vet sobbing beside my daughter and wife. I had done all I could to hold back my tears trying to be the "Strong Dad" ... it didn't work. I quickly broke down as I hugged our Zooey goodbye, whispering in her ear " your a good girl and the best friend anyone could ever ask for" Thank you, thank you, thank you, Brick Town Vet for your kind and comforting words and being there for our family. 👪

While we are vacationing in NJ, my Yorkie began chewing on her foot and it was very swollen. We called several vets who could not fit her in for weeks. We called this vet and they saw her the next day. Dogtor Leif and her assistant Melissa were so friendly and caring and treated us very well. We were so happy to find a new friendly vet as we spend several months in NJ during the summer. I highly recommend Brick Town Veterinary Hospital.!

I’m being kind giving 2 stars. I’ve had a few bad experiences with this place but today is the day I leave the review. I do not like leaving bad reviews. But when I have fly from work an hour away to stop and pick up my pup make it on time to get nowhere ! Yes I’m done with this place . I’ll start off by saying this, The front desk girls are just rude for no reason . Just miserable especially KIM - she needs to retire or find a job that doesn’t require dealing with people . Her resting face is just awful . Not pleasant at all . I asked to schedule a visit for nail trim along with needing my pups paw looked at .I’m not sure if it’s a tick or a skin tag . Well Kim just decides what’s best for them and their schedule. So she schedules me with a 15 year old vet tech who couldn’t tell me what’s embedded on his paw . The $36 “pedicure” could have waited . I needed a vet to look at his damn PAW . There was a doctor in the building as I was there but to busy gossiping with the mean girls at the counter . Fast forward they walk out with pills for next time because he was turning purple . Had they stuck him in a sling he would have been ok . He doesn’t need pills for anxiety to get a nail clipping . The one tall slim female tech with short hair is actually GREAT reason why they get 2 stars !!!! I will be looking for a new vet . I’m still stuck on $36 I pay $40 for pedicures with massages . BE BETTER NOT BITTER
