How to Save Money at PetWellClinic - Manchester
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I had an excellent experience at this clinic!! There was no wait when my kitten and I came in. My kitten had worms and they staff as well as Dr. K were INCREDIBLY nice and caring about my kitten. They took care of the worms with treatment, the pricing was fair and I am really pleased with the entire experience. If you cannot get into your regular vet and need someone to see your furry friend; I highly recommend this clinic!! Very clean, friendly, 10/10!!!! Attached is a photo of my Nessie.

We came in about 20 minutes before they were closing in a bit of a panic and all of the staff was so sweet, attentive, and helpful! In no way did we ever feel rushed. Dr. Jan and the technician were the best at explaining/answering all of our questions. We have a very timid cat who was treated like a little princess and handled with love. Could not recommend this place more!

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic. I have been a dog mom for more than 20 years. THIS is the clinic model that is a necessity in 2023. 90% of the time, the things my dogs need at the vet are preventative care or minor injury/illness. With the current vet shortage, it is next to impossible to get in with our “usual” vet.. where we have been clients for 13 years! A new adoption appointment is a 10 week wait right now. Crazy! With PetWell Clinic, if I wake up and one of my babies needs to be seen for something min, I just go!more than15 minutes on a walk-in basis here. So: CONVENIENCE! Second, the staff is INCREDIBLE. Like, happy, good-natured, smart, truly personable staff, and a great team! Because I have 4 dogs of my own and also foster, I have had the pleasure of working with every member of the staff, and honestly, I feel like every member of the staff is my favorite! They make great connections with my dogs, and I always feel welcomed. They have helped me with everything from vaccinations for my foster puppies to allergy shots for my rescue dog, to well visits for my Goldendoodle, to ear infections and more. Third: honesty and transparency. No more holding your breath and praying when it’s time to pay. They are very open about pricing, and give you an estimate before they even see your dog. No one tries to up sell you any services, they tell you if the situation is beyond their capabilities. (Example, I brought my friend’s dog in after she had been in a fight. She needed stitches with anesthesia, PetWell does not do that, and off we went.. to a much more expensive urgent care.) And because they keep overhead costs so low, their charges are COMPLETELY reasonable. One of my dogs missed his annual checkup and vaccines (at his regular vet) when I had the flu, so I brought him to PetWell. My other dog went for her annual at her regular vet a week later. Exact same services, but PetWell cost me $100 less. Yes, please! In addition, all of my dogs’ records are easily accessible online, which makes it simple for me to print out a rabies certificate or check when their last allergy shot was. No lines, no waiting! There is still a need for a regular vet in your pet’s life, just as you need an urgent care or ER. PetWell isn’t there for “the big stuff”.. spay/neuter, dental, surgery, etc. But using PetWell for the 90% of care that most pets need only makes sense, especially if you prefer quick, convenient service, personable, knowledgeable staff, and saving money. And frankly, if more people used PetWell for the “little” stuff, it would be easier for everyone to access their other vet when it’s necessary! Photos of SOME of my pets or fosters who have visited PetWell Clinic!

I am so pleased with the service and staff at PetWell Clinic. My primary vet was unable to schedule a visit for 2 months and I am so grateful for this walk-in clinic. They were able to see and treat my cat for a nonemergent issue also saving me from going to the emergency vet. The clinic is clean and the staff was pleasant and professional. Dr. K was awesome! Highly recommend.
