How to Save Money at Hope Veterinary Hospital of Holly Springs
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
We have been blessed to have many good vets for all our pets but none have shown the professionalism and compassion that Hope Vet has. We recently had to put our 8 year old Guinea pig to sleep due to her failing health. Everyone at Hope Vet took an extreme interest in our aging pet. My wife and I were comforted in our pets last days knowing she got the best care and as important - understanding of our grief from losing a pet. Losing a pet is hard but Hope Vet eased our loss with compassion and understanding. I have no reservations to give the whole crew a five star rating and our highest recommendation for compassionate veterinary service.

We brought our sweet pup to Hope Vet for the first four years of his life and, while significantly overpriced compared to other vets in the area, he received good care. Unfortunately, the staff here are unconscionably rude and unkind. Multiple delays in transferring record to new vet in our new neighborhood and after we had left over a year ago, I received a call rudely berating me for not letting them know when, in fact, we had communicated to them on multiple occasions. Her response? "Well I guess I will mark you inactive so that we aren't wasting our time anymore trying to call you." I have never been spoken to the way I was by this female staffer and was incredibly shocked and disappointed. If I were to move back to the HS area, I would never consider using Hope Vet again.

The staff are very caring and responsive. We had an emergency (cat had a UTI). They worked us in their schedule and took good care of our cat. I highly recommend Hope Veterinary Hospital.

I gave this practice 1 star only because the Vet Techs here have always been very helpful and acted professionally! We've lived in the Triangle for 30 years and our animals were patients since 2016 not long after they opened. In our Opinion the Level of Vet care has declined.W e alsofeel the level of Communication has Declined. Our Rescue cat's last appointment was a routine visit. When they got done he seemed totally sleepy in his crate. Both my wife and I asked 2 employees if he needed to be sedated? We were both given firm "Nos" and told he Was Fine and that Everything was fine. When we got him home he was Groggy and just laid down. We figured since hes a total house cat that the vet ordeal had just affected him. Next day arrives and he's still Groggy and Listles. We call the Vets office and my Wife was told Dont Worry It will wear off. Wait a minute we were told Several times that he Would Not Need to be Sedated!! As the day wore on into the next morning we monitored him closely Fearing we would have to bring him to Emergency care after just being at his own Vets! To this this day No One at this practice has ever told us what he was given and it was not reflected on the visit paperwork. He finally did come around next morning. But there was certainly a severe lack of Communication & Honesty! Update UPDATE !! IF you notice in her response to my Review Dr Cox convenientlyFailed to Address What they did to my Cat during his Visit. She recited many Untruths. She left out a public review of their practice where I gave them a 5 star rating before . I take my assignments as a Google Guide quite seriously and most of my Reviews are Positive! I view it as an important service to the Public. Setting the Record straight my wife and I Volutarily Left this practice after being treated in a Horrendous fashion. God bless your Animals and make sure that They and You are treated properly at this practice. Ours was an Extremely Hurtful experience which still lingers on! Most Important Dr Cox was NOT in the room for Any of our visits with Dr Evans!
