How to Save Money at Kitty Klinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Very friendly staff. Very friendly they made me feel like family. They treated my cat sugar is very well . Fixed her up relly nice, It was not as expensive as I thought it was going to be. Also I think it's worth noting when I brought my cat to the vet before she peed herself because she was so scared and they did a good job at the other place but this place did exceptionally well she did not even pee and I thought for sure she would.

Very friendly and helpful staff! They loved my new kitten Matey and got him all his shots and cleaned his ears with only some squeaking and squirming in protest, mostly from not being able to explore the exam room. It's clear that everyone there loves cats and has a good sense of humor about their antics. They explained everything they did and why they did it, along with follow-up plans to make sure he gets his boosters and gets rid of any parasites he may have from before we adopted him. Also very affordable. For a little over half the price of a visit and two vaccinations at a big chain clinic, I was able to get Matey vaccinated, treated for ear mites, and examined for other common found kitten concerns. Here's a picture of him all tuckered out after the excitement, too.

I’m a first time cat owner (adopted Joey in August!) and Kitty Klinic has been AMAZING! Joey is currently recovering from a serious, very scary case of cat acne and Dr. Mike and his staff have been amazing to Joey and me. Joey even had to stay overnight for 2 days and everyone here treated him so well. Kitty Klinic truly cares about cats and the owners. I’m so grateful I got Joey in here and I’ll continue to go here for as long as I live in MN! Here’s a picture of Joey after a long hard day.

I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. I brought my cat here. The vet was late- wasn't even at the building yet at my appointment time. He brought my cat into the building- I could not go with them. They made me stay in the car. A few minutes later, the vet ran out of the building with my cat terrified in her kennel and threw her at me saying she was too hard to get out of the kennel. They offered no help and traumatized my cat. She has never had any issues at the vet nor has she been hard to handle- ever. This experience was traumatizing for me and my cat and it was a complete waste of time. I left crying and still incredibly worried about my cat. He did not ask me any questions or get any info from me. The customer service was non-existent. Your cats deserve better.

I had a very positive experience the first time I brought my cat to the Kitty Klinic in 2011. Now my cat is getting on and I wanted to bring them to a familiar place for diagnostic care for a potential tumor and I was told they are "not a referral service," and to either return to a past location (one that also services dogs and is very stressful for my cat) or to seek out a "house call."
