How to Save Money at Bayne Mobile Veterinary Services
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I cannot say enough how amazing Bayne Mobile Vet is! I have two rescue kitties who are quite temperamental and sassy. In the past I have struggled immensely with socializing my animals and getting them to the vet. This was our second visit and not only did it go as smoothly as possible (given the sassy babies I have) the cats came right around to me after everyone left and were right back to normal which has never happened! My kitties were treated and handled exactly as I’d treat and handle them, and they were comfortable and felt safe, and even accepted treats during initial meeting! I highly encourage anyone looking for the best bet care to contact Dr. Bayne and his staff. You will not be let down!

Dr. Bayne is the ultimate of the caring professional. I had been searching for a mobile vet for quite some time to assist in caring for my now 13 1/2 year old dog. My dog was unable to get into a car any longer due to weakness in his legs and weighing almost 100 pounds, I could not lift him into the car. Dr. Bayne has not only kept up with his wellness check-ups and vaccines but we have been using cold laser on his joints to allow him better mobility and comfort. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Bayne to anyone looking for an excellent vet that treats your pet like his own family member.

Dr. Bayne is an incredible vet. He provided consistent, high-quality, compassionate care for my cat and I never had any complaints about his pricing or any other part of his practice. Everything was always clearly communicated and the pricing was very fair, especially for someone willing to do house calls. I am also very impressed by his safety precautions that he and his tech take while they are working during COVID-19. Because of their compassion and going the extra mile to take COVID-19 precautions during this time, I highly recommend them to anyone needing a vet for their pet.

Dr Bayne is a very CARING vet! I called his office at 9am all upset about my dog(Pink). He was at my house at noon, same day! He examined my dog, asked lots of questions and took notes and gave me medication for Pink to ease her pain. Typically that would be the end of appointment but dr Bayne contacted me later that day to see how Pink was doing and later when pink was felling worse I sent him a text @9:00pm he responded with advice. He asked me to text in 2hrs and let him know how pink was doing so I did @11:00pm, he waited up to hear from me!! How awesome is that 🙂 Thank you Dr Bayne for making house visits, being professional and caring. ❤ Geneva :) end

This was the best experience I could have wished for. My 15 year old cat was lovingly cared for by the staff of Bayne Mobile Veterinary in the comfort of her own space. Every effort was made to keep her comfortable and content and they were exceptionally kind and professional. This was the most positive Vet experience we have ever had! Can’t recommend them enough!
