How to Save Money at Kindness Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
We started going to Kindness Animal Hospital when we moved to the area in 2018. They have and continue to provide excellent care, even during the pandemic. Their vets and vet techs are all amazing, though we are particular fans of Dr. Phillips! Kindness gives your furry family members the time and attention they deserve. Highly recommend!

I really can’t put into words the gratitude I have for Dr. Williamson and ALL of the staff at Kindness Animal Hospital. Our 14yr old chihuahua/Pomeranian was diagnosed with Kidney Failure. He has lost 1/2 his weight in less than 3 months and it hit him hard and fast. He was sleeping 98% of the day and stopped eating, couldn’t walk, stand and had to be lifted anywhere he wanted to go. After careful consideration and speaking one on one with Dr. Williamson we made the hard decision to put him in heaven before he got too bad. It was by far the hardest and most heartbreaking thing I have ever done in my life. The hey made me feel at ease and let me know my decision was needed and not to feel like I was giving up. They took care of EVERYTHING and made his passing over smooth and painless. I couldn’t have ask for any better treatment, care or love.

Top of the line service vet that also has specialty services on select days. I often use this hospital for routine care of my service animal and trust that they support his overall health and wellbeing. Prices are slightly high but reasonable. Wait for regular appointments can take up to a week or two depending on demand.

Pretty happy with the staff, the front office is great. I got an appointment for 8/11 but kept calling to be seen earlier since our puppy wasn't feeling well. They called me as soon as someone canceled and we were able to have him examined. The vet that examined Simba was very kind and professional, her assistant was great as well. We got a referral to an orthodontist. The only 1 concern I have with this practice is the cleanliness of their lobby and exam rooms. Our pet was examined in a room FULL of pet hair and it triggered my allergies badly. The lobby floor was also very dirty with pet hair. I would hope that this will be taken under consideration going forward. We hope to keep visiting this practice in the future minus the enormous amount of pet hair.

Truly exceptional service. Dr. Phillips and Mariame were knowledgeable and gentle with our nervous hound dog. Mariame was super thoughtful and even managed to snag a urine sample outside so we didn't need to come back. Then she brought Skip's meds out to the car so he didn't have the added stress of being inside the clinic linger than necessary. Fantastic!
