How to Save Money at Goshen Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Rest in peace, my love Luna. You were my best friend of 8 years and I'm so sorry that the horrible management here caused you suffering before your death. I'm appalled at the service and care here. Scheduled an appointment at 11:30 on Friday because she was coughing the day before. When we arrived, we were told that there was no vet available and to come back at 3:30. Unacceptable. You have a visibly ill cat and say you're unable to treat her and to come back later even though we had an appointment? We told them that being put in the carrier and driving stressed out our cat and that the clinic was a half hour drive one-way from our home. They still refused to treat her at 11:30 and told us to leave. When we got home, Luna started to have severe difficulty breathing. We called again and they finally realized that she was dying and told us to bring her in. Once again, Luna had to go on another long ride in her carrier where she suffered due to stress and inability to breathe. This time, Luna died on the way to the clinic. They never apologized for not treating her at 11:30 even though we had an appointment. I don't know if what she had was treatable or if she could've been saved in time, but every animal deserves to die in dignity and surrounded by their loved ones. I am furious that they caused my best friend to go through hell and stress in her final hours of life, dying in a carrier in our car. I am furious that they did not try to save her at 11:30 even though we had an appointment, and Luna was ill and coughing. We should've never had listened to the receptionist here and gone straight to a different clinic who actually cared about my cat. The receptionist who turned us away did not have enough shame to even show her face or apologize to us when we brought her back dead. Shame on you. I want Goshen Animal Clinic to truly have empathy for us and their other patients. I added photos of Luna so that the staff here can remember the beautiful soul they were supposed to take care of that died and suffered under their care. I will never come back here for my other pets. I will never recommend a single person to even consider this location. They have attributed to the suffering of my best friend who was better than every single human who works at this clinic.

I wanted to express my deep gratitude for the exceptional care our dog received at your clinic. Despite our beloved dog passing away due to critical illness, the staff went above and beyond to support us through this difficult time. Their empathy and dedication were evident in every interaction, and we truly felt understood and supported. Dr. Carrie, Sidney and her team provided outstanding care and attention, ensuring that we were well-informed and comfortable throughout the process. We are incredibly thankful for their help. If you're seeking compassionate and skilled veterinary care, you are definitely in good hands with Dr. Carrie.

It's all about the vet! Dr. Carrier is so good with Lincoln that after one visit he was actually excited to go back as soon as he knew where he was. She is amazing with him and knows exactly how to approach him and make him feel like his vet visits are a positive experience. The staff is great also! I feel like Lincoln is in good hands here.

Could not say enough amazing things about this clinic! I went with my best friend and her English Bulldog, for a check up and just to find a new veterinarian for her beloved Fatboy. Dr. Carrier and Ryan (Vet Tech) were exceptional!!! Compassionate, caring, and you can truly tell they are in this profession for the animals. Both of us have grown up with dogs and both own our own now, never have either of us felt so seen and heard by a veterinarian. Dr. Carrier thank you SO MUCH, you are one of a kind! ❤️

Dr Carrier is absolutely amazing! My furry friend, Stormy stopped eating and was literally dragging his body after an episode of an illness. Dr Carrier and her team listened to our concerns and have been standing by us in every decision we’ve made (changing up food, reluctance with too many medications for our cat etc) Dr Carrier follows up and shows genuine love and concern for your pet like it’s her own pet. Our cat has never felt as comfortable as he does with Dr Carrier. She listens closely to your concerns but mostly we think she’s an animal whisperer!! She’s brought so much health to our dear Stormy!!! ROCK ON DR CARRIER!! We love you
