How to Save Money at ADAvet Veterinary Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
We have found Dr. Ryan, her staff, and her associate veterinarians to be extremely compassionate, warm, and knowledgeable. We have been patients of Dr Ryan for several years, but before we became patients at her practice, our younger dog became ill with pneumonia. Our previous veterinarian, located in a neighboring town, refused to make room in their schedule to see us. Our friend recommended Dr. Ryan and although Dr Ryan did not know us at all at the time, she immediately saw our dog and helped him recover. We would never consider using another vet. Dr Ryan and ADA are fantastic.

I don't have enough good things to say about this clinic. I'm so grateful to have found them and trust them completely with the care of my two cats. Dr. Rotolo is the best vet I've ever dealt with, and I've had lots of animals--cats, birds, rabbits, you name it. She embodies what anyone would consider to be a "dream veterinarian." I'm in awe of her knowledge, thoroughness, and amazing "cat-side manner." This most recent visit for two cats was assisted by a man named Chris, who was so incredible with them. He's just amazing--professional, warm, gentle, caring and personable. The desk staff and everyone else I met are all fabulous. I would not hesitate to recommend this clinic to anyone.

The veterinarians and staff at Adavet are wonderful. The end of life care that we received for our two elderly cats was so kind, loving and professional. Drs. Ryan and Rotolo made a difficult situation the best it could be under the circumstances. Everyone is so great with our dog. If we could give them more than five stars, we would!

When my brand new kitten was licking at his paw a lot, I was able to get a same day appointment at ADAVet. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the facility was very nice and clean. They were able to figure out what was going on with his paw and help him out. I would definitely recommend this vet clinic.

We love this vet clinic! Our dog was injured and needed a same day appointment and we were so lucky to get a last minute visit scheduled here. The vet, front desk staff, and technicians were all friendly, helpful and understanding. I’m a behavioral science enthusiast who generally would only go to a fear free certified vet but since this was an emergency I had to go with what was available, but in the end it worked better than I could have ever imagined. The staff were all so sweet and gentle with our pup, I can assure you that if you are worried about how your animals are handled and their emotionalimportant as their physical wellbeing, this vet will work for you. They worked with us to keep our reactive dog calm and under threshold. No one rushed us or him. We ended up needing to get surgery done and they fit us in two days later. His surgery appointment also went great and again we were really impressed with everyone working at the clinic. I think that overall this vet is fairly priced, especially for the area. We will definitely use them anytime we are in Boston! Also, this clinic has two waiting areas. One side is very quiet and great for more nervous dogs. They also mentioned a separate waiting area for cats!
