How to Save Money at Animal Clinic of Glasgow
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Visit this time was much better than the original. They were cleaning counters with disinfectant and did not smell as bad as my first original visit. Doctors were friendly fast and efficient. I had a young technician carry my cat for me to the office visit and back into my van because my cat is pretty heavy for me when I am disabled. Pricing much better than most vets in our area or surrounding areas.

They always do a great job here. The customer service is phenomenal. When we had to put our dog down we even received a sympathy card that week from them. It was a nice gesture. Nothing but praise from us.

Had an emergency with my cat, I came in like 30 minutes within their closing time and they quickly got him in and the assistants and vets were all very friendly! My cat stayed about 6 days and along with his treatment costs and medicine, his bill was VERY AFFORDABLE. They also will work with you on payments and don't make you feel bad about it at all. Thank you Glasgow Animal Clinic!! My kitty is home now and doing much better (: I'll be using them as my vet from now on!

I never write reviews and Im not from Glasgow. However , I recommend this place to anyone. They are convenient and this place doesn’t charge an arm and leg. I’ve brought my cats here twice , and it’s been nothing but a pleasant experience. I love how it’s a walk in compared to having to schedule appointments here in bowling green. I brought my sick cat in this morning on a limb after I called around everywhere here in bowling green that was gonna be a 5-6 week out available appointments, then I remembered I took her here and I immediately gathered her up and made the trip to Glasgow to get her tended to. It was well worth the trip. The doctor was very understanding of my concerns and tended to her amazingly. For a steroid shot , antibiotic shot, and some medication to take home , it was well worth the 100 bucks I spent. Here in bowling green, it would have been tripled, if not more. This place doesn’t enforce unnecessary things too, as most of the vets here just want to take your hard earned money. He examined her, checked her temperature , and talked to me about everything in regard to her case. If I went to any place here in bowling green, they would have ran me around wanting to do X-rays , unnecessary blood word, and no telling what else. This place is simple. The staff and doctors are amazing too. I will continue to come to this place to ensure my fur babies have the proper care they need. You guys won me over for a life time after this morning.

We were out of town camping and our dog was in pain. We called on a Saturday and they told us to come on in. The staff was wonderful, Dr. WEBB WAS AMAZING, and our wait was short! She needed meds, and we were out in an hour. Very reasonable prices, and the concern for our furbaby was so helpful. Wish we lived here so we could see them every time!
