How to Save Money at Tri Point Veterinary Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I can’t say enough good things about this office. Absolutely incredible. I called them about getting an appointment for my dog who was very ill and they didn’t hesitate about getting me an appointment. They had me in within 30 minutes of calling. Unfortunately, my pup didn’t make it. They provided us with the utmost respect and support. Dr. Burcham explained everything to us and gave us options. He didn’t push anything on us and was truly there for us and respected our decisions and wishes. The staff were very supportive and all so friendly. Everyone in that office is definitely in their calling. They care for each and every pet like it’s their own. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you did for our pup.

Great vet clinic here! The staff & Dr. Burcham are excellent, and prices are fair. They've very caring, and always take the time to make sure all your concerns are addressed. The wait times are usually very low, and you can usually get a same day appointment if needed.

I’m not sure how this establishment has so many positive reviews. I brought my senior chihuahua in almost a year ago and he was placed on 2 heart medications after getting 1 X-ray. Less than a week later he started bleeding out of his nose. We rushed him to an emergency vet where they did more X-rays because we couldn’t get the other sent over on a Sunday. They said he didn’t need the heart medications but that he had an upper respiratory infection. He was sent home with a steroid and antibiotic and they had me follow up with a vet they recommended. This new vet immediately suggested a dental surgery and placed him on more steroids until the surgery. He had most of his teeth removed about a week later and required sinus hole repair. We continue to go to the vet who saved his life a year ago and he is 13 but truly thriving. This vet also reviewed X-rays and said no way was the original X-ray clear enough to diagnose anything but after reviewing the emergency vet X-rays determined he doesn’t have heart failure. The medications he was wrongly placed on would have caused organ failure. We got lucky and the emergency vet didn’t charge us for a visit only the X-rays because they felt bad we had just been way overcharged for a misdiagnosis. Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere.

We had an emergency with one of our dogs who needed X-rays and lacerations stitched. I can’t say enough about how well Dr. Burcham and his staff treated myself and our dog. She was unable to walk herself into the office, after treatment and care from the Tri Point team she was patched up and walked herself out! Communication, care, kindness, and quality veterinary services is what you will find. I will be referring them to everyone with a pet!

My cat was acting sickly, called Tri Point, explained his symptoms and they got us an appointment right away. Vet staff were very friendly and helpful. Dr Burcham was very knowledgeable and super nice. Our cats bladder was backed up and he needed to go under anesthesia for a procedure to clear it up. They kept us in the loop on how our cat was doing before and after his procedure. Our overall experience with Dr. Burcham and his staff was phenomenal. They were very friendly. I would highly recommend Tri Point to everyone.
