How to Save Money at Wellspring Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
All the clinic employees are very supportive of all issues dealing with the health and well being of all of my fur babies. The Vets are very compassionate while dealing with extremely ill pets, whether there is hope for recovery or not good chance of survival. I would give this clinic 10 stars if there were that many. I will highly recommend this clinic to family and friends.

Our 9yr old rescue chiweenie is a new patient with Dr. Jason Albertson. She's pretty anxious about any new people/environments, but she's been totally comfortable each time we've been in. Dr. Jason takes time to explain in detail procedures, test results and just answer any question. Blood draws and shots are super easy thanks to capable staff. Very grateful to have found this office!

I brought my puppy Apollo in for a check up. I was very impressed and pleased with their services. Took the time to explain everything about my breed and offered advice that from my experience in raising dogs training and health to behavioral issues was spot on. Unlike some places they only give you what they think you might want to know. These guys gave exactly from I'm sure is very experienced knowledge. I've found my vet for Apollo for I hope years to come.!!!

We have a dog that gets cluster seizures and sometimes they can be life threatening. First off the staff has been nothing but awesome and courteous which is a breath of fresh air considering the treatment we've gotten at "VESH" our local emergency vet hospital. But one tome in particular he went above and beyond what he had to do and our family can never repay him for that!!! He showed true compasssion and a love for all animals in this instance which from our experience seems to be really lacking in this industry. And to top it off I was willing to pay big bucks for what we received and he didn't charge me near what we expected or he could have. And even before this we were spending three hundred a month before we came to him and he quickly adjusted his prescriptions and saved us 200 a month just by switching the dosage and quantity of one of our babies meds. Once again a breath of fresh air because two other facilities didn't even care how much we were spending clearly. A real stand up act in a sea of money hungry vulchers. Thank you!!!!

I have nothing but great things to say about my experiences with Wellspring! After several bad experiences at my previous vet, Wellspring has renewed my faith in veterinary services. This is what good quality vet care is supposed to be like. Their facilities are clean and their staff is always kind and helpful! My previous vet kept increasing prices but I have found that Wellspring has been comparable or cheaper for the same service. I recently had an experience where my dog drank a small amount of cleaner and I called them after hours but hung up and decided to call Animal Poison Control. Before I could dial the number, Dr. Albertson himself called me back because he saw my number on caller ID and looked up my dogs chart. He had me monitor her, saved me the $100 fee for poison control, and even called the next day to check on her. I can't recommend them enough!
