How to Save Money at Caring Hearts Vet Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I love this place. Dr. Frazier genuinely loves animals, and does this for the animals. People on here griping about calling and the receptionist being short. You said they were less expensive than any other place. Did it ever occur to you that they are extremely busy because of being less expensive? People griping about having to wait, even when having an appointment. You need to stop complaining also. Emergencies come up, or the doctor has to do more for an animal than expected during an appointment. They spend quality time with your pet and you should appreciate that. I always have an appointment and have had to wait because someone brought in their dying cat, or doc was with a patient longer than expected. I didn't get angry, didn't complain, nor would I give them a bad review because I know when I get in that room, they are going to give my pets the same personal attention. I love all the staff and would never take my babies anywhere else! Dr. Frazier stayed late on a Saturday to do emergency surgery on my cat. She didn't charge me a fortune for saving his life either when he had bladder stones. I have immense respect for her and her team!

I've been taking my pets to Dr Geri and Dr Dalton for many years. They have seen my family pets through illness and over the bridge. Whether puppy, adult or senior, they are both very good with all of our pets. They take the time to discuss options and they get to know each animal individually. Their rates are reasonable.

Dr. Dalton and his assistant (Gabby) are truly amazing! I felt so nervous prior to taking my dog to his appointment to get neutered but Gabby eased off so much stress I felt! Seeing the way she handled my dog in such a loving and friendly way before taking my dog back, meant everything to me! She was also thorough and answered all my questions after the appointment which helped so much!! I’ve seen Dr. Dalton in a prior appointment for my dog’s check up and all I can say is that I trust him with my dog 100%. He is great with my dog, shows lots of love/care to my dog and I can see that my dog is at ease being around him. I will never take my dog anywhere else. He is in great hands here and the Dr is great at what he does!

I've always taken my pets to this place and can't complain about the care from the techs and the doctors. The people working the front desk don't seem to be very concerned about your pets though. They are just there to take your money, and tend to be borderline rude when it comes to answering questions and making appointments. And don't look to this place for urgent care, the doctors apparently only work afternoons according to the receptionist, and they are always booked up solid for weeks. The sign in the lobby mentions that they prioritize emergencies over appointments and walk ins, but I guess they didn't bother telling the people at the front desk about that. Instead, they seem dismissive of your concerns and act like they are doing you a personal favor to try and get you in the following week. Their popularity is becoming a liability.
