How to Save Money at PetVet365 Pet Hospital Fishers Crossing

Schedule Regular Vet Visits

One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.

Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions

Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.

Pet Insurance

Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Getting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask

Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:

Tell me about your experience with [pet type].

Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.

How do you handle emergencies?

You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.

How do you communicate with pet owners?

Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.

Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?

Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.

Do you have any questions for me about my pet?

This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.

Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?

Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Followed Dr. Fowler from Vetco in Whitestown. She’s been one of the only doctors that I trust with Bruce (German Shepherd Mix). Bruce had some awful experiences in the past with vets being too aggressive with him, or just flat out inpatient. Dr. Fowler has been the best doctor for Bruce as well as her wonderful technicians whom followed her from Vetco! He had his first visit at her new practice today, and his behavior was very much improved in her new space. Still a little anxious, but he was sooooo much happier and enjoyed all the treats and toys! The rooms provided all kinds of things such as toys, treats, a couch w/ ottoman, calming plug ins, and sound machines. 10/10 recommend for other pet owners!

I recently visited Pet Vet 365 Fishers Crossing and had an outstanding experience! The new office is absolutely beautiful—modern, clean, and very welcoming. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and calm, which really helped put both me and my dog at ease. Dr. Fowler was fantastic with my dog. She was patient, thorough, and clearly very knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything and made sure my dog was comfortable throughout the visit. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Pet Vet 365 Fishers Crossing to anyone looking for top-notch veterinary care!

Where to begin! 1st: The staff is amazing! The amount of love and attention they gave to my pup was adorably great! He's a spoiled brat, so I'm sure he felt right at home 💚 2nd: The communication between everything was great! My pup had to get a mass removed, and they texted me along the way along with pictures. When I picked him up, they went through every detail. I had asked to see the mass that was removed, and they were more than happy to show me. 3rd: The rooms! They are not only adorable but also such a great idea! They're like mini living rooms with couches, ottomans, and even a TV. It's much cozier than a metal table and equipment everywhere. I don't think my pup even knew he was at the vet. Bonus: They have many human and pet snacks while you wait. Overall if you're looking for a place for your pet where you feel like they actually care and love helping animals THIS IS THE PLACE! We all know taking our pets to the vet comes with a price $ but I genuinely felt this place was definitely fair and worth it. Thank you for making my Appa feel comfortable and spoiled 💚

Dr. Fowler and her staff are the best! The exam rooms are like being in your own living room. They do everything right in the room. No taking your pet away. They get down on the floor with your pet and make them feel as comfortable as possible. My husband and I were so happy with the thorough care and love they gave our cat, Annabelle. They go above and beyond to take care of your fur baby and make it a wonderful experience for both you and your pet. Thank you Dr. Fowler and staff, my husband and I have found a new place to take our fur baby! ❤️

Dr. Fowler was great with my dog, very caring, and thorough with her evaluation of my dog's skin issue. She was able to provide recommendations and treatment that day, and followed up the next day personally with test results. The office is extremely comfortable! Dr. Fowler sat on a rug with my dog to evaluate her, which kept her very calm. Great experience!
