How to Save Money at Townline Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I took my elderly cat in for euthanasia and everyone there could not have been more professional and kind. Dr Singh was exemplary in her handling of my cat’s euthanasia. I cannot recommend this veterinarian more highly. If you have an animal please take them here. You absolutely will not regret it.

Unfortunately I have to write about this terrible experience that happened a few weeks back at this place. It was an early Sunday morning when I heard my little dog squeal like I’ve never heard him before in his 14 years with us. I jumped on the Internet to find a place close by that was open. I came across this Townline Animal Hospital. Me and my dad quickly took the little guy and rushed him to this place. After some info exchange they sent us to this room and technician came to ask more details. Then after about 10 minutes the Veterinarian Kiran Singh came to talk to us and to see which tests she will run. It seemed his stomach was hurting but we are not doctors so we didn’t know. She took him for a blood work and a picture. We were quoted $660. Few minutes later technician came and said they want to do an extra picture and if we accept it would be $770. We said yes. Technician came again 3rd time and said they wanna do 1 more test and that would bring the total to $880. We absolutely agreed. The little guy was a part of our family. After about 25 minutes they brought the dog back. Which he continued squealing in the room as well. The Vet came and said he had thyroid issue and it’s probably stomach infection, gave us pills for thyroids and also some pills for pain. In the meantime the dog was still suffering. We went home with no pain shot injection given to him, with no antibiotics and no steroids. He was sent home just with some pills! After few hours he was not getting better so I called the place and the front desk girl told me the doctor said he has to go through this and to just manage it. Than few hours after that he was still in immense amount of pain. Squealing so much that my sister decided to call again. The front desk technician asked the doctor and the doctor again repeated that he has to just go through this and to manage it. After sitting on this few more hours we found another place and rushed him to a different hospital. There we were advised that he was misdiagnosed. That he had a problem with heart and a big possibility of bad pancreas. The poor dog was suffering the whole day. We were also advised that they really don’t like to tell this to people but best thing we can do for him is to put him down so he doesn’t suffer anymore. We were and still are devastated. I can’t believe that we called 2 times and were just told to manage it. It was complete negligence! Next day we went to talk to the doctor and tell her about it but she wasn’t there. I was told she was gonna call me next day (Tuesday). She did not call until Thursday!! I explained what happened and that considering the misdiagnosis we would like to get the money back. She told me she wasn’t giving us the money back to do what we have to do. I told her I’ve never met a colder person in my life and that this is bad Karma, and she told me and I quote, “Karma goes both ways”. She is telling this to a person AND a customer that just lost a part of their family of 14 years. I was in shock. I couldn’t believe it. This is just my experience at this Townline Animal Hospital. And I don’t wish this horrible experience on anyone, so this is why I’m sharing my story. PS. Other place even sent us 2 cards! Saying sorry for our loss. One from the staff and one from the amazing doctor. We couldn’t even believe what a difference the other hospital was. Be careful who you trust your dear animals to!!! EDIT: As we can tell this woman is a pathological liar. Other comment is from my sister which I already wrote dealt with Kiran Singh when she called the SECOND TIME. I did not change my name. You can tell how rude and cold this supposed veterinarian is. Save your pet! Her recommendation was wrong and she can stand by whatever she wants. I have the receipt of being in her facility which charged me $880. She is also lying about me ending a call as she actually hung up on me. And of course what else does she have left but to make up a complete nonsense about threatening behavior. My only promise to her was that I will leave a review anywhere I can. Which I did!

Unfortunately I have to write about our very heart breaking, and horrible experience here. It’s been 2 weeks now, and I could barely write this. I am only sharing this in hopes to help someone and possibly save a pet. We took our dog to this hospital as it was a Sunday and they were the closest and open as our Vet was closed. Well, we made a huge mistake. Our dog got sick early Sunday morning, we took him here and after doing some test they recommended, we were sent home with some type of a pain meds, and thyroid pills??? And Over $900 bill that we just paid. Well few hrs after our dog was not getting better, called the Vet they said give him half of the pill and wait it out. We did that, another 2 hrs passed our dog was not getting better in fact seemed like he was getting worse! Called again and we were told that we just have to manage it, and wait it out. Well as the night progressed he was getting worse and worse and we realized he was just not ok. We found ER and rushed him there, but it was too late. They advised that he did not have what was suggested when we went here. Of course we also had to pay for that as well, but we would have paid anything to save him. Unbelievable heartbreak as at that moment we were faced with fact that we had to lose our family member that we had for 14 years. To make things even worse we called this office to notify them, and to ask our money back as in my opinion this was negligence! Kiran Singh, the vet that treated our dog was unbelievable un sympathetic, didn’t care that our pet was just put to sleep, didn’t care that she neglected and miss diagnosed him, but she cared to say to us as paying customer that karma goes both ways when we were upset! Ohh and she wouldn’t hear of giving money back a whole $900 she took only to have our pet die. DO NOT GO HERE! There is an actual ER with doctors that care so much and know what they are doing. They were so professional, and they even sent us a card after this happened. Save your pet, your money and your heart and do not go here!

Today was Sunday, our regular vet was not open and all the 24 hour clinics were running a 4-6 hour wait. We thought our dog was having a stroke, and were panicked about where to bring him, Townline showed up in a search because they were open. We had never been there before and they did not know us, I called them and described the symptoms and they said they could see us as soon as we got in. 20 minutes later they were running test, my wife and I were certain we were going to lose our friend. Fortunately about an hour later we were told he tested positive and the symptoms we were seeing matched that. The staff was so incredibly nice and friendly, and Dr. Lovell was so kind and understanding. If you are looking for a vet I can not recommend this office enough?

Thank you Townline Animal Hospital for helping me with my dog! I appreciate you scheduling us next day during the weekend. My dog was so calm during her visit for the first time in 2 years after a traumatizing experience at the vet. You truly stand by your low-stress approach. We look forward to coming for her annual vaccines 😊
