How to Save Money at Vetique
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Let me start by saying this is the absolutely best veterinary group I have ever been to and could not recommend them enough! I have been to a handful of vets in and around the city of Chicago and none can even compare to the care, love, patience, and kindness my pets and I have received from Vetique. Do yourself and your animals a favor and go to Vetique now! A little run down…My dog prince has allergy and skin issues and Dr. Remnes and the whole team are the first vets that actually have found a solution and plan to ease and treat these issues for him. When I say I have tried everything from a hundred different shampoos to diet to skin scraps you name it! I have been to about 3 other “specialty” vets before this for his skin and it never got any better until I found Vetique! He is so much happier and I actually feel heard for the first time. It is horrible to see your pet uncomfortable in their own skin and thanks to Dr. Remnes Prince is feeling and looking so much better. ***The next bit is about pet loss so if that is triggering please stop reading*** This July the worst thing happened and I came home to my cat Denver unresponsive. I went to take my dog Prince for a quick 10 minute walk and when I came back I found Denver. I immediately picked him up and ran 4 blocks to Vetique with him in my arms. With no questions asked they let me in and immediately started to try to help him. I was a wreck and it was one of the worst moments of my life. Unfortunately Denver passed away from what they explained to be feline heart attack (HCM). Denver was only 4 years old and showed no signs or symptoms so to say it was shocking and devastating is an understatement. It also happened on my birthday. Dr. Remnes and the whole Vetique team handled that horrible situation with such grace and respect. The kindness they showed me that day and after is something I will truly never forget. They not only tried everything in their power to save Denver’s life but after were there to console and explain what happened in the most genuine way. They gave me the time to say goodbye and also gave me really helpful advice on how to help Prince deal with the loss because they were very close. They followed up and even sent flowers and a hand written card showing their respects. If that does not show you how much each and everyone at Vetique cares about the animals they treat and us as owners I do not know what else does. A little time has passed and I adopted another little rescue kitten Leo who they now treat. He just had his first appointment with them and they of course exceeded expectations. If vets in the past have made you or your pets nervous Vetique is very calming and they really do give the best care. They genuinely deeply care for the animals they treat and it is easy to see that from the moment you walk in. They are honest, never overcharge and are open about pricing which is very rare with vets these days. They also offer a lot of other amazing extra things like a glass of wine or a snack while you wait for your pet to be taken care of but that is the least of what makes them special and great. The Vetique vets and staff are each exceptional human beings and literal angels and that is what truly sets them apart from anywhere else. I honestly just feel so lucky I found them and get to take my animals here.

The Gold Coast vet we’ve all been waiting for! Vetique has certainly gone above and beyond to provide the most welcoming, caring, and fun experience for both pets & pet parents. Dr. Trice & the vet techs provided a perfect experience for our first visit for a wellness check & nail trim. This very hoppy bunny & bun mom cannot wait for our next visit.

We’ve brought our new pup here twice so far and have seen both docs, Jess and Jennifer. Their facility is brand new, clean and super cute. It feels like you’re at a chic clinic that also has a bar. They give you scented hand towels, a drink, and a neck warmer. Their customer service is incredible. It’s very clear that they really care about your pet. We would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!

This was our first visit with new puppy and we are new patients to the practice. Everyone is so nice and Dr. Trice was wonderful and very thorough. She discusses preventative care options and schedules with me. I appreciated how she took the time to make sure I was comfortable with our treatment plan.
