How to Save Money at VCA Webb Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Took my girl in to be spayed. At the same time they were going to take care of a hematoma. Spay was great. No problems there. The hematoma- no so much. Botch job. Had to come back and they had to redo. Not sure who did what- but the second surgery was night and day compared to the first. I’d go elsewhere.

I am disappointed and ashamed of WEBBS! WEBBS had been seeing my dog for 10 years. I called two weeks ago to see about having him seen for labored breathing and being lethargic. They didn’t answer so I left a voice message for a call back. Time goes by and I’m a concerned dog mom. So my husband tries calling them. They proceed to tell him they received my voicemail (but NEVER called back!) RED FLAG! When asked if we can bring our dog in they say we shouldn’t! 2nd RED FLAG! Needless to say we have to call other offices to get our baby seen. It is then that a vets office we have never used before has to give us heart breaking news about our 10 year old lab having stage 3 lymphoma. It is also this same vet who cared enough to take in our baby on the day of concern and talk with us about our options that also sat with us and comforted us during our hard decision of having to let him go. To think that WEBBS who we have been using for 10 years, refused to see my baby boy and yet was not the vet office to guide us through one of our hardest days is ABSURD!! It should have been our vet who was there for us but they weren’t. It was like a slap in the face. Was my pet not important enough to you? 😡 I refuse to return to WEBBS. They do not care about the parents of pet owners or better yet care about one of their long seen patients! Shame on you WEBBS. You lost a loyal customer.

Make sure you clearly read what you sign at this office. They tend to go ahead and add recomended services to your appointment (especially drop offs) and do not communicate that to you very well before they ask you to sign. When you go to pick up your pet you are hit with a large bill and they say well you authorized it! VCA - I would train your staff to make sure they discuss in detail what they are asking you to sign, especially when your office is busy and you are trying to get customers in and out quickly.

I recently moved back and decided to come back to VCA since I used them previously. I wasn’t going to put up a review but after my last visit I feel it needs to be shared . Be very careful who you let walk away with your pet . I was only there for blood work and medication refills. The vet tech after talking to me coming in out of our room multiple times attempted to give out pet vaccines and other medications for someone else’s pet ! After I proceeded to argue with her and tell her no she checks the chart and say oh I’m in the wrong room . Unprofessional and this could have ended badly. I have tried to get my baby some thing for her nerves as with age it’s very difficult to get her in the car or to sit in the office. I was only accused of trying to drug her because I just don’t want to deal with it . I tried again to come back and get help I was met with the same response. It’s for HER safety, not my sanity. I don’t know what’s happened here or where the compassion went but it’s awful .
