How to Save Money at Banfield Pet Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Staff are nice, but the business itself is not pleasant to experience. I went in using a free visit coupon, knowing that just removed the entry fee basically, but I still walked out paying $175 for stuff that is cheaper at other vets. Between the nurse and the doctor trying to sell me on their overpriced wellness program, and the quote of a $400 neuter, I will not be returning. I felt like a business opportunity and not a patient.

Amazing place! Fairy considerate of your pet as family members. I currently travel over 40 minutes to go to this location compared to any other location I’ve experienced including the one that’s right down the street from my home. My experience travel and health of my pet is well worth it in the hands of the vet and techs at this location.

Front Office staff 100% needs to be replaced . Specifically Denise . Extremely rude and what is sad is that she is the first person and the last person you see for the day . One of the most unpleasant people i have met. The Vets are very nice but Banfield literally nickles and dimes you for every single thing and then some.

My husband and I have been bringing our pets to Banfield Lawrenceville for 15+ years. Dr. Inniss has been with Banfield over 20 years and both he and the staff at this location are exceptional! He makes you feel like an old friend, but one that truly wants to go the extra mile to ease your concerns, present possible solutions, and arrive at a desired outcome. I have 3 large dogs, 2 of which are seniors. Our oldest dog, Finn, has cushings disease, liver and kidney issues, and a plethora of skin issues. Dr. Inniss has given many hours of his time to provide personalized attention to get Finn’s issues under control. He is doing marvelous and everything is well managed based on all his lab work. The staff at this location never make you feel rushed, they know our pets, they get us in when there is an urgent issue, and they take great care of them if we have to do drop-offs, etc. I also appreciate the fact that Dr. Inniss recommends the best treatment options, it’s always in the best interest of our pets, and he never pushes anything on his clients. If Dr. Inniss happens to be away, all the other doctors we’ve seen have been terrific. I highly recommend you check them out! Your pet will be in great hands! We wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you for all you do Banfield Lawrenceville staff!!- The Young’s

I've purchased the health wellness plan for my 8wks. old Cavapoo (Ca$h Money Oglesby) from Banfield pet hospital @ Lawrenceville, GA. And after reading some of the low rated reviews, I must admit...I was somewhat apprehensive about putting my little man's care in their hands. But I did stop by the Lawrenceville location and myself & my wife addressed the our concerns as well as the low rated reviews from previous owners. And we we're politely greeted and our concerns we're prioritized. And Ca$h has received his microchip on his very first visit and he has just completed his full vaccination. Each visit and in between the experience with Banfield Pet hospital-Lawrenceville has been absolutely fantastic. So with that said, I do highly recommend this Veterinarian hospital for your pet. I L😍🥰❤️🖤💚VE my pets... jus' like I L😍🥰❤️🖤💚VE my family, because they are my family. 🙏🏾😁😍🥰✊🏾✌🏾
