How to Save Money at Ansley Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

My cat, Gwen, has been a patient here for 3 years. There's been a few issues with our cat in that time but they've helped us through each of them with a high level of professionalism and friendliness. The team here is fantastic!! We're currently planning on moving back to Australia, and the process is extremely detailed, but Ansley Animal Clinic has been brilliant at making sure that all the medical requirements were done to perfection and on time. Hands down the best vet experience we've had with our pup. The vet listened to us and was very personable and down to earth. She was very relaxed and great with my nervous pup. She really helped us and made us feel comfortable that our dog is in good hands. Seriously, if you're looking for a great vet experience then you have to give Ansley a shot.

I wasn’t happy with my current vet so I started looking for a new one since my dog needed a sick appointment. Since Ansley had such good reviews I called and they got me a quick appointment. The whole staff is so kind and the vet techs were amazing at helping educate me on keeping my dog the healthiest I can. They took my concerns about my dogs care seriously which I felt I didn’t get at my previous vet. They were so kind even when my pup got pretty spooked and handled it so well even when I felt horrible. The vet was incredibly kind and took the time to talk over everything. I didn’t feel like the appointment was rushed at all and I left confident that my dog got the care she needs. I’m excited to have Ansley around the corner from my apt for future vet needs.

My neighbor had horrible digestive and skin issues with her huskey and recommended Dr. Andrew Webster to me. I was sold when she said "he's the best vet I've ever been to!." From start to finish the kind staff at Ansley Animal Clinic has converted my dog Kingston into a regular patient. Thank you Dr. Andrew for your compassion, THOROUGH examination, and answering all of my questions about his seasonal allergies and swollen, chewed up paw and the medications you recommended including the issues I've had with cytosport (with subsequent seizures in my boxer which could be a genetic predisposition). He was very thorough in discussing all of my options, side effects, etc. Additionally I've been to 3 other vets and none of them could help me determine how much homemade food + kibble to feed him, they would all say "your dog needs to lose weight" without much direction. As a dietitian, I'd like to make sure he's getting all of his needs met and Dr. Andrew knew exactly what resource to direct me to and empower me. He's incredibly intelligent, humble, and knows his area of expertise. The annual exam was only $75 compared to over $100 my holistic vet used to charge me but not as comprehensive as Dr. Andrew's visit. If you need a new vet, I can't recommend Dr. Andrew enough! Also I can't forget to mention Susan at the front desk who was so lovely on the phone making my appointment and so sweet to Kingston when we arrived. She remembered us and we felt so welcomed - even giving him anti-allergy treats and laughing at his tricks! The entire staff is a gem :)

After discovering an abrasion on my cat Moo's back paw, Ansley was able to get me in for an appointment on the same day. Fast forward one month and almost a dozen visits later I sadly said goodbye to Moo after having been diagnosed with both Diabetes and Cushing's Disease. We went to Ansley about twice a week during that time for numerous tests, bandage changes, and ultimately to say goodbye. During that time, the staff at Ansley including the front desk, the vet techs, and the veterinarians all made me feel like family and that Moo was loved by them all. I can't say enough about how sweet and compassionate everyone is at Ansley! On top of fantastic staff and a clean, welcoming facility, their prices are decent for the services you're getting and now all of my animals are patients there.
