How to Save Money at Divine Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I've had two experiences so far with Dr. Divine and his staff that have been more than memorable. Firstly, Dr. Divine is extremely thorough and very attentive to the needs of my pet. My 10 month old puppy recently became very sick and with out question, just like before staff got me promptly in and greeted me with compassion. As they said on the phone, "just come now and we can fit you in." Dr. Divine was quick and diligent in his assessment and provided me with outstanding support until it was safe for my dog to return home. After surgery it was a bumpy ride however the staff was very supportive. They were available via text/call after hours and offered reassurance and I felt as if they cared for my dog as if he was theirs. Maverick required some extra care over the course of a few days and Dr. Divine and his team really exceeded expectations. This office, doctor and staff is outstanding from care to compassion. Thank you Dr. Divine and all of your team. Every single person there was so kind and caring and explained everything so thorough and helped me through a stressful time and at an affordable price. Mav and I really can't thank you enough!

Wow!!! From the minute I walked in and was greeted by Terri, I knew this place was special! She answered all of my questions - and was professional and empathetic. I decided to bring my pup here after the wonderful interaction with Terri. The staff at Divine ARE Divine! Dr. Randy takes time to explain and Sandy (the hospital administrator) is so warm and caring. It’s a family business and it’s obvious their motto is treating customers, including the animals, with love/respect. After each visit Colby gets a “doggie” cone! Colby actually likes coming to Divine. Thanks you for such compassionate service. Love, Colby

The people were nice, but I was quite surprised at the bill that I was not told about the expense of having a test on my dog, so when I left and I was given the bill. I was not expecting because nobody gave me the opportunity to decline having the tests done with the addition cost. I will not recommend or return .

Dr. Randy Divine and his staff are extremely nice and knowledgeable. They offer a full range of services and took excellent care of my senior shih tzu, Lucky, since we moved to Vero Beach 3.5 years ago. They explained everything about my dog’s conditions and each of the treatment options. I am so grateful to have found this clinic and to have received their compassionate care when end of life comfort measures were needed.

Everyone here is incredibly compassionate!! We HIGHLY recommend this veterinary practice. Here's why ... We are Vero Beach snowbirds and always travel with our two dogs. Recently, our senior lab, Shep, became very ill. We got vet referrals from two neighbors and also called a few clinics but were told either they were not taking new patients or no appointments for 10 days. Also, some had very scary reviews!! We were so upset and didn't know which way to turn. I took a drive just to clear my head and saw a sign for Divine Animal Hospital. I parked and went in and was greeted by Terry at the front desk. Immediately she helped me and listened to my description of Shep's symptoms. She gave us an appointment right away. Sadly, we had to say good bye to our good boy that day but he went out eating candy kisses and two vanilla ice cream cones! We could not have asked for a more compassionate group of people. They took such care with both Shep and my husband and I. Dr. Naylor and the two vet techs were amazing - explaining the test results and all our options in such a calm, no rush way. Also, I noticed when I asked to use the rest room - walking through to the back area - the glimpse I got of where the animals were kept and the behind the scene was completely clean, organized and good smelling. We are so grateful to now have the peace of mind that having an animal hospital nearby that we can trust gives us.
