How to Save Money at Beville Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

At our most vulnerable and heartbreaking time with the loss of our beloved Scooter. We found the most compassionate and kind people here. If they can be so kind and understanding at our worst, they will be the most amazing at our best!!! I would recommend them 100%!

I relocated to the area in the past year, and I have two cat roommates who decided to tag along. One is extremely timid and has a chronic health condition - and getting him to the vet's office takes weeks of strategizing. When I could not put off a checkup any longer, I confess I picked Beville Animal Hospital (BAH) because it was closest to me; I was desperate to minimize their trauma because they do not travel well. That BAH is one of the best vet offices I have ever been to was a delightful and welcome surprise. I was blown away by the courtesy and professionalism of everyone I interacted with. The technician who I worked with was especially impressive; he was knowledgeable, personable and never made me feel rushed. The veterinarian, despite having been recently injured, consulted on the case and I had complete confidence in their assessments and recommendations. I was only slightly less stressed than my cats when I set out that morning in May, and everyone at the Beville Animal Hospital were so caring I could feel my blood pressure dropping during the visit. I consider myself lucky to have found a really good fit with my first effort here in Daytona Beach and look forward to a great, long-term relationship.

Honestly the few times I've been here, they have been rather good for the most part, just expensive. However; upon dealing with Monica on the phone recently, my perception has changed. I simply requested a referral to have my aging german shepherd see an animal chiropractor. No big deal right? Well Monica tried to out-doctor me, claiming that it is far too dangerous for him at his age. It's rather concerning that they have her on the phone misrepresenting care to clients. Chiropractic care is the gold standard in conservative care for humans and their furry friends. The number one cause of death in our beloved dogs is loss of mobility. Interestingly, chiropractic is great for joint mobility and maintenance care to enable them to stay mobile, far past any other sort of care. I must say that it is rather appalling that such a harsh stance against the extremely minimal risks in chiropractic, while they freely prescribe harsh chemicals and damaging medicines to our dogs without so much as batting an eye at the endless list of symptoms and risks associated with them. If Monica truly does speak for the viewpoint of the actual doctors in the office, I would highly recommend seeking an office that doesn't recommend a pill for everything. Your pets will thank you for it by living longer, healthier lives.

Rating downgrade from 5 stars to 1 star. The office recorder specifically advises the pet owner to allow up to 48 hours for food prescription referrals to be authorized. It has now been 5 days for a beloved pet who requires special food for survival. This is a poor reflection on Dr. Wilson and her staff. This is the second time this has happened in a matter of three months. Take note that my pet will actually die without the prescription food. Is the refusal to authorize the prescription request because they want the pet owner to use Vetsource instead of our preference to use Chewy for orders? Check out Vetsource for ratings and you'll understand the hesitancy to use that service.

5th time I try to get Simparica Trio filled for my girl and keeps getting denied by their pharmacy and they refused to use any other vendor (Chewy is what we always used). Now she's been without this med for months although did everything they asked- blood work, stool tests, every shot, dental cleaning, extractions.... didn't say no to anything to make sure she is healthy. Going to transfer to a new vet. Too much stress to get a simple medication, which she's been on nonstop for 4 years straight. I can't risk her getting heartworm because we aren't a priority. Sorry, that's how I feel after 3 months trying to get this filled
