How to Save Money at Pereira Jacqueline DVM
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
The service fees here are exhausting. $98 just to see the vet for 3 mi minutes. Then the up charges begin. It’s like a daycare in there, students running amuck. If you have a. Emergency, please, for your own sake, get a vet that you can call for help. This place will rob your bank account and your inheritance.

Overpriced!! $600 just to go in, then they want to add the X-ray, lab, etc $$ plus wait let’s not forget the medication which is not included. So am I going to pay over a grand for one visit? No i don’t think so, we left. They build us $200 just because they look at my dog.. it is unfortunate and I feel like an excessive price for what you are receiving. Not worth it. If you can wait to go to your vet, then do so.

Dr. Pereira and Dr. Canabal saved my little dog live. Dr. Pereira was sharp on her diagnosed. My dog was in ketoacidosis Diabetis, a life treating condition and was wrong diagnosed by another vet. She immediately noticed the problem and started the procedures to save my dog’s life. After a couple days and my dog was not reacting, she told me they need to perform a surgery because the medication was not working. She explained the risks and that would be the only action to make my dog react. Dr. Canabal performed the surgery, controlling the time it need to be done fast, and it was very well succeed. My dog started reacting and recovering. Another vet told me she couldn’t do the surgery. I am very grateful, they work with love. I know how happy Dr. Pereira was when my dog started recovering and the time she spent researching the best treatment for her, because was challenged. She was very happy too when she told me all the 9 tumors they removed was benign. And I am very happy to had trust on them. If you have a love pet don’t think twice. Let them be treated with doctors who loves what they do and they will do for love. Thank you both, I have my baby back!!!

If I can put 0 ⭐ I LL do, my experience was really bad, coming to this place because my pet was in an emergency with pain. I am living 35 miles away from this site. I were there before in an regular day consulting and I thought they really take care but that was my mistake. 3am (July 4) in my way to clinic I called them just to know if there can attend me. The person. At phone tell me that only they can got emergency and My little pet has on Pain , so it was an emergency!!! At the end when I explained to her that she has a real emergency she remember me that there gonna be the extra charge but never tell me that not going. I drove all those miles for nothing, they said 24 hours, not true, when I arrived the other personal there tell me that I need to go to another place because the only one doctor was in surgery. I said well I can wait. They went inside to ask doctor and the answer was no you need to go to another place honey. She gave me a number for another same owner clinic which nobody answered. Then this last person told me you should call us before come, I said I did , hearing the other girl at the phone saying I tell her not to come!?!?! What??? Not true!!!! Amazing!?! 24 hours clinic???? Never again I am gonna be back, they left my dog without attending having pain. Pls take your lovely dog or cat to another place at least on urgency. Incredible!!!!
