How to Save Money at Good Care Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Good Care Animal Clinic is the BEST for ear cropping! They came highly recommended by our neighbor so I drove 3 hours to them for the procedure. From paperwork to follow-up they provided clear instructions and made the process super easy. I was hesitant about eat cropping especially since our American Bully was older than the standard age for that procedure to be completed but everything was amazing. His ears are healed and he looks great! Before and After pics provided. Go to Good Care Animal Clinic! You will not regret it!

I drove down to the clinic in Miami from Bradenton to have my Great Dane’s ears cropped. The office staff was amazing! All instructions and paperwork were provided to us. Everyone was very nice and they took great care of our puppy, Odin. They did an amazing job cropping my puppys ears and we are VERY happy with the results. All instructions with follow up care were explained to us along with videos provided on taping at home. We were also provided a phone number and email to use in case we had any questions or concerns with Odins ears. All in all I would highly recommend this office for ear cropping. They are AMAZING!

First time coming here and we are beyond happy with the results. Very clean facility, very friendly and welcoming staff. Knowledgeable staff and they answered all our questions. We brought our American Bully to get her ears cropped and they came out beyond expectations. Our bully took her bandage off the first night and the team responded to us very quickly via email. I would def be returning with our future puppies and would def recommend.

I had all 7 of my bully pups ears cropped with the Good Care Animal Clinic. I decided to have them all done together just to get the whole post-op recovery over with 😥. It took a while for me to finally find a place that I felt was safe enough to move forward with this whole process. I called the clinic to ask 1000&1 questions, some being questions the scheduler couldn’t answer (anesthesia related) so I was told that the office manager would call me back later. Not expecting a return call from anyone, I received a call back from Abel! He answered all my “annoying mom” questions and helped ease my nerves when it came to the anesthesia part of the surgery. Once I heard the pups were going to be intubated for the cropping I was so relieved. Securing the airway was everything for me because you never know how pups will react to the meds being given. After that, my other concern was the actual ear cropping and styles. The day of surgery, Abel took his time informing me of the different crop styles and which would best fit my pups. And to add to that, all my pups had different ears! Post-op wasn’t easy for us due to the fact we decided to crop all 7 pups simultaneously, but the Good Care Animal Clinic was there for us the entire time. On three different occasions, 3 pups managed to bust open sutures. We were able to take them right back into the clinic and have them replaced. I remember the first time I paniced, but the next two times almost felt routine 😂. Overall, our experience at the GOOD CARE ANIMAL CLINIC was great! And I would really just like to say thank you guys so much for everything! 😘🤗🐶
