How to Save Money at Eau Gallie Veterinary Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

My husband and I have been a clients of Dr Brickett for 3-4yrs now. She is such a sweet woman who cares so much about her patients. Since she and us are new to Eau Gallie Vet office we have been welcomed to the family with open arms from the vet techs to the front desk we have no complaints. We have helped other patients of Dr Brickett find her new location and brought in personal friends of ours for her.

During a very very difficult day May 9, 2023 with my 12 year old Chihuahua Dolly being very ill and passing out many times throughout the day I called Eau Gallie Vet Hospital and spoke with Brian at the desk and he got me in before the end of that day to get the Veterinarian Dr. Brickett to check Dolly out and we found she had heart problems and would not live much longer. So with their Extremely Kind and Professional help I made the decision to move forward with putting Dolly to sleep using their Euthanasia Process. Both the Veterinarian Dr Brickett, and the Vet Nurse Hanna were so Incredibly Kind and Caring to both my dog Dolly as well as to me because I was a complete mess of emotions and sobbing through the entire process. They gave me all of the time I needed Before the Injections and they allowed me to hold Dolly through the entire process, then once Dolly was pronounced deceased they again allowed me all the time I needed with her before they removed her from me. They explained the costs of every different option of Cremation services as well as the process. They were all So Wonderful and Caring to Both Dolly and myself. I chose to get Dolly Cremated Individually and her Ashes returned to me in a Beautiful Urn with her name Etched on the Urn. They were very reasonably priced for the entire process. But Most Importantly Brian, Dr. Brickett, Hanna, and John the Receptionist were all so Wonderfully Kind and Compassionate to both Dolly and myself. I appreciate you all more than you will ever know! Dolly's brother Ashton and I are beginning to heal but we miss Dolly greatly. Thank you ALL from the bottom of my heart, Cory R.

I love this vet. I’m very picky on where to take my pet, I have a golden retriever. I love using the pet desk app that I can put in a request for an appointment and they always have an appt available and in a timely fashion. I don’t have to call, the app lets me pick what I need to take him for and it tracks his vaccines and due dates. This vet always smells so good and take such GREAT care of my pet. He had stitches done and they called me to check up on him and make sure he was ok. One time, they had an emergency and i had to wait a little longer which is understandable, and they have him a toy for the wait! (See photo) I highly recommend this veterinary office! They really care about animals and their quality of work!

I am so thankful to the staff at Eau Gallie Veterinary Hospital. I called in and let them know what was happening with my dog. They were honest and willing to see him the same day. From the moment I arrived with my dog I was greeted by friendly staff and taken to a room, where my dog could remain calm. The technician and veterinarian provided exceptional care with my dog. They greeted him and spent some time letting him get use to them, before they started examing him. The techniques they used made me feel at ease because I knew that my dog was getting the best care. Also, they discussed with me all the options for my pet's care and did not perform any unnecessary services. I left their office in peace knowing my dog would be okay and I can still enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday. I am very blessed that I was able to find this veterinary hospital. I highly recommend them and thought the community should know if they are looking for exceptional healthcare services for their pet, please consider Eau Gallie Veterinary Hospital.
