How to Save Money at Robinson 24-Hour Veterinary Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Absolute RAVE to Robinson 24hr vet ER. They are all about transparency and communication in every step, down to having windows where you can watch them care for your companion. The peace of mind Dr Robinson and her team brought to my fiancé and I during an incredibly stressful visit was just impeccable. We really felt valued, and comfortable through the entire process. Massive rave. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

10-12-23. Our amazing Havanese BobMarley was having issues with a tender Left Front. We went out for a very long walk and somehow he got what seemed to be a mild sprain when all was said and done. It’s alarming when the best member of the family can’t tell you what hurts only that he couldn’t walk on that paw. You wonder….is he ok? Did he break something? Moments of mild panic run through your mind….is it a stroke??!! Crazy how the love and care we have for our animals overrides all else in those moments. So we ran him down the street to Robinson 24h Vet Hospital at around 9pm. Raven and Dr Robinson took great care of our guy and assessed his issue. Probably a soft tissue sprain and they gave us a mild med for him and 16 hours later his gate is back 80-85%. He is a rather exemplary patient to begin with but the ease and comfort, professionalism and care by these gals last night was second to none. Thanks Raven, thanks Dr Robinson, we have found our local Vet, couldn’t be happier with the care, service and very fair cost of this experience! BobMarley is doing great, and so are we!! I want to give a major shout out to Robinson 24-Hour Veterinary Hospital! Our sweet boy started having seizures out of the blue and thankfully this incredible facility opened up just down the road from us. We were beyond scared, as this was a whole new experience for us as fur parents. Dr. Robinson took the time to hear our concerns and offered lots of education and advice to begin our journey as parents of a dog with seizures. Fast forward to a month later and the seizures were back and worse than ever… we called Dr. Robinson and they quickly sprung into action to do everything they could for our boy. Again worried and scared, Dr. Robinson helped guide us to the next steps and monitored our boy overnight. We were sad not to bring our boy home that night, but knew he was in the best hands. Dr. Robinson called us early the next morning with an update about our boy. Unfortunately not the update we were hoping for, but yet again Dr. Robinson was calm and provided us with next steps and options. Unfortunately we decided that the best choice was to let our boy be free of suffering as this issue was clearly progressing. Dr. Robinson assured us that we were making the right choice even though it was hard. Her and her team made such an awful and painful experience as easy and peaceful as they could. We can not even begin to thank you and your team enough for helping us through this difficult journey. Thank you so much Dr. Robinson and team!

On a typical Wednesday afternoon all was great until my dog suddenly became sick. Of course it was after hours and our normal vet was closed. After a couple phone calls we was informed of Robinson 24 hour vet. I called spoke with them told them everything and we preceded to head that way , upon arrival they came out the door with Gurney in tow. (When I tell you these ladies are amazing , they are AMAZING) we was able to go in a room and watch everything without being in the way and affecting everything they was doing for my fur baby. These ladies put their all in working on my baby. Unfortunately my fur baby did not make it , but it wasn't from lack of them giving it their all. This Office & these ladies are amazing , I can't thank them enough for all they done for me & Tunk. Thank you so much Dr Robinson & your whole staff.

We were told of Robinson 24 Hour Veterinary Hospital when our regular vet discovered a large tumor on our pug’s spleen. Our regular vet does not have after hours hospitalization, and recommended Robinson for overnight care. We decided to call and ask for a second opinion. All I can say is, “WOW!” The care our baby received while at Robinson was unlike any other veterinarian I have been to. The price was reasonable for emergency care and our pug was cared for with top notch attention and skill. They were very accommodating to us peering through the windows and watching their every move. The communication between the staff and us was amazing. I wish we lived closer, (we live 90 minutes away) so I could use this facility for all our veterinary care.
