How to Save Money at Paradise Animal Clinic of Daytona
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I’m so blessed to have found Paradise Animal Clinic of Daytona. We weren’t sure what was wrong with my 8 yr old cat. I am grateful that Dr. Cunningham could diagnose his issue and schedule his surgery the next week. Thank you for being so thorough in your findings and explaining his treatment options. From my first phone call with Colton, our meeting of Katelyn & Dr. Cunningham I knew we found our pets veterinarian! His surgery was a success and he felt better almost immediately! Congratulations on providing the best vet care I’ve ever experienced ❤️

Wow, Paradise Animal Clinic really knocked it out of the park! Took my new pup there and they were spot on with their service. We didn't have to wait around; they saw us right on time. Being new to the whole dog owner scene, I had a ton of questions. But guess what? They didn't make me feel silly for asking any of them. My dog? He was super chill the whole time, which was a big relief. The team was super gentle with him and broke everything down for me so I could understand what was going on. They even gave me some great tips on how to give my little guy the best care. The place was clean, and everyone there seemed to know their stuff. Big bonus: they're open until 5:30 pm and even have some weekend hours. Perfect for folks working the 9-5 grind. All in all, if you're looking for a safe and caring Vet for your pet, Paradise Animal Clinic is the place to go.

Where do I start? Well let's see. Everyone there, from the techs at the desk to the vet, is super friendly, kind, knowledgeable, helping, sweet....They did not make us wait an ungodly long time. The Dr was right on top of things. She didn't treat me as if I were stupid. She was super gentle with my Sassy girl. She went over with me what she wanted to do and they were very conscientious about my budget. Even though we did not go there planning on getting the surgery done today as a routine surgery, I was prepared for emergency surgery. They actually did the surgery today, knowing it was best for my baby. Most vets make you schedule routine surgery weeks out and charge you extra. They didn't try to make me feel bad about not getting to get everything done today. But they took the best care of my baby. The Dr herself called me when the surgery was done and let me know that everything went good and some surprise findings. They did not let my budget stop them from doing what my Sassy needed to make her comfortable and help her onto the road to recovery. They even helped me get her out to the car and loaded up (Sassy is a micro bulldog and so you can't just pic her up normal with the surgery she had). I will recommend Paradise Animal Clinic to anyone and everyone. I love the lobby with the huge fishing rods. I wish I could give them 10 stars.

Thank you so much for seeing Gemma today. From front desk to payment time your staff and Dr Cunningham were gracious, professional, and your facility is clean and comfortable. We are blessed to have you as our vet for our Shih Tzu babies.

Great office. Great vets. Always able to squeeze your pet in for an emergency appointment and they’re open on Saturdays! How awesome is that. A little pricey but worth it.
