How to Save Money at Flagler Animal Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Terrible service. This is the worst clinic and doctor ever. Please, I beg you not to come to this clinic. Feels like a huge money grab and careless “care” from the people we should trust to provide the best care for our pets and proper insight. Literally, they do not look at your dog, they are only concentrated on how to charge you (extremely expensive), like 120 dollars just for the antibiotics pills, when there are so many good antibiotics for much less than that. They do the X-ray and then tell you that he will call you with the diagnosis in a few days, not that they never called, but they did charged for the interpretation of the X-ray. They charged for the visit and never looked at the dog. They charged for what they call bio waste and did not touch the dog. That happened like 20 days ago and I am still waiting for the results. Of course the doctor never came up. It is not only that they steal your money, but they do not care at all about the animal. I really think their license should be revoked.

Will share my experience, After looking everywhere to do a patella correction on my boston terrier Sahsa, I arrived to this facility and let me tell you, since the first phone call the employeed where very attentive and knowledge about animals. I don't know how the surgery went since happened 5 days ago but everything is looking fabulous. I need to recall the the ladys that work ther are extremely nice attentive they have called me more than once daily to ask about our baby, always with great attitude. I think you don't find these days this type of service they really care about your pet. Doctor work with prices and gave us a huge discount sins we did both legs same day. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone whos loves their animals. Thank you very much for all the attention and service provided

Don’t go HERE!! They tried to rip me off and kept my pets rabies shot and would not mail it back to me. They do not know the rules for out out of country traveling for your pet so I suggest you have it in black and white. After much arguing back-and-forth about the paperwork I needed I finally just gave in to some thing I did not need as I confirmed it with the doctor who would not listen to me. And I was unable to get a refund. I also missed my flight…!!

If i could give this place “0 stars “ i definitely would. My family & I trusted this “vet team” to care for our sweet dog Bella since she was little , pass forward 8 years we had to put her down due to these inconsiderate veterinarians. They never mentioned to use a hole in heart with all the many many test & scans they do , they never cared for her teeth though we brought her in many time of her not wanting to eat & she developed a infection that we were completely unaware of. They never wanted to care for our sweet girl they only cared for the money all the test and treatment that it took in the process. Yesterday we had to sadly put her down because she was just to far gone & on top of that she also lost sight in her eye something we were never told either… If you would like to save your pet, please don’t bring them here & don’t trust them with your fur babies. I’m not one to put a “bad review” but they took away a part of our family that we will never be able to fill again. & for being inconsiderate & inhumane people. I hope just one person can see this and be able to save there fur babies. R.i.p my sweet bella you’ll forever be missed .
