How to Save Money at Chadwick Veterinary Center
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Chadwick is an awesome guy. My dog Cody went here for a few years. He hated other vets but loved him because he sat on the floor and played with him and gave him treats. He made him feel right at home. He actually loved going there. He enjoyed saying hi to the ladies in the office and would impatiently scratch on the door while waiting for his appointment. Cody had a major dental procedure done last year and he gave us his advice and him and his crew did an amazing job. Unfortunately in April 2017 Chadwick told us Cody had cancer. We only had a month with him before he passed. During that time he answered all of our questions over the phone and offered free visits as much as we wanted. He had an appointment with Chadwick the morning he passed. Unfortunately he never made it. The staff was very kind and even sent us a card with "forget me not" seeds to plant in his honor. Our dog meant the world to us and Chadwick understood that. We have another dog who has been to Chadwick a few times for self inflicted causes (eating chocolate) and now my sister has a young puppy. Chadwick is the only vet they will be going to. We trust and respect him. He's very educated and he has dogs himself and really cares about the wellbeing of them, not just money like most vets. Thanks Chadwick for being an awesome vet to our first dog and to all the other dogs in our family. I've attached a picture of Cody happily waiting for his dental procedure in the office :)

We love Dr Chadwick! He is very knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, and he doesn’t do any unnecessary testing. I trust his expertise, his staff is just as wonderful and caring, and I always leave feeling so confident in my ability as a dog parent to care for our cocker spaniel Bella. I have never been to a vet, where it didn’t cost a pretty penny, But when it comes to our pets health, they are worth it, and Dr Chadwick’s office is worth it! Thank you Dr Chadwick for all that you do!

I have been taking my dogs to Dr Chadwick since 2012 and I think he is wonderful!! He explains everything clearly so I know what if anything he’s going to do for my hairy babies. His staff are so sweet and treat my dogs like they are their own. Never have I called and had to wait more than a few hours for an appointment. They make your feel like they’re a VIP (very important pet) Thank you everyone at Chadwick Veterinary Center! Charley and Angie thank you too.

Saying Dr. Chadwick is the best vet is such an understatement. Every employee at this clinic treats each animal as if they were their own. The love, compassion, and care they show each patient/customer is unbelievable. The love for what they do is clear. After each visit I leave feeling my dog has received the best care possible. I can’t say enough how wonderful not only Dr. Chadwick is, but the entire staff is!

Dr. Chadwick is by far the most trustworthy, knowledgeable, and caring vet I've ever been to. I've had rescues my whole life but my rescue dog now is very shy of strangers. Every time I bring my dog in to see him, he sits on the floor with her and lets her come to him! He, as well as his office staff, are very polite. His office is very speedy in the sense that the majority of your time there is spent with your pet and Dr. Chadwick. I live in east Lake Worth and I will GLADLY make the drive to his office for any of my pets' needs!
