How to Save Money at Faithful Friends Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
The lead Lab tech Ashley is beyond rude, she yelled and talked down to me at me the office visit, and then over the phone she yelled over me while I was trying to explain our dog’s problem that was not addressed at the office visit because of her behavior. That phone call happened to be on speaker and my whole family witnessed how unnecessarily rude and mean she was. I asked to speak to the vet and she did not accommodate my request. I then asked Ashley numerous times to have the vet call me back. He never did. It is safe to say, she most likely did not give him the messages I left. This is not how a caring and professional veterinarian office should operate. If the veterinarian is reading this, please take the time for serious consideration of the other negative reviews about your vet tech as well. I’ve since also tried to get prescriptions refilled for my dogs, on a few occasions, and with no success. Our local pharmacy at the supermarket in town has also made numerous attempts to get them refilled for us and also with no success - no one from this vet office gets back to them or to me. No care or concern on the vet’s office part, that my pets need their medications for chronic illness, and to be well. I am sorry to say that I can no longer recommend this place anymore, as I once did. I am so deeply sad and disappointed that the lack of care of my pets, and the (now hostile and unprofessional) office environment, are all not the same since Dr. Dowdy left the practice this summer. None of these things ever happened when she was there. She was so kind and extremely knowledgeable. We trusted her immensely with our pets’ care and we miss her terribly.

Dr. Fox and Dr. Dowdy are great vets and take the time to explain everything. Unfortunately, it's difficult to deal with the front desk person for emergency and prescription refills. She is very rude and not accommodating. Also, she has no empathy, even for a very seriously ill cat.

Staff is really wonderful. My sister and I went there take our dog Leo after reading the reviews. We ended liking the place more than what we imagine. The rooms has seats to seat on,so you can bring an extra person or persons. If your new to the place you have get a doctor's consultation. In where the vet tells you what your pet needs in a caring matter. You pay $55 for that and what you came for. But your pet becomes a member for a year. So you won't have to pay the $55 agian done they will know what your pet needs. What I really liked was how they did the invoice electronically.

This place only take cats and dogs. They don't take regular birds or exotic birds. If you have pets make sure you ask about how many months you need to get in if your a new pt and what you need to have when you bring your pet. Since some offices have rules ask what rules they have for bring your pet if your knew to any pet hospital.

Front desk and lead lab technician were both very rude, yelling over the phone. Also, not accommodating to fix the errors that they made or at the very least, simply apologize. It did not seem like I was speaking to a Vet’s office.. I am shocked at how poorly they communicate with their clients.
