How to Save Money at Vet for Pet Wellness & Emergency Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
Dr. Ahmad Ali and staff are truly wonderful in their love and care for animals and they were able to get a stray cat in to be neutered the next day which is unheard of, but bringing a pet to this vet hospital can be a bit frustrating. They are a general and emergency vet, so if an emergency comes in, your appointment can get pushed back. They run with a skeleton staff and don’t have examination rooms, it is a drop off facility only, so having a conversation with the vet about your pet may or may not happen in person. This can lead to miscommunication about your pets needs. For example the stray needed shots, and not being a vet myself, I asked them to give him everything they would for a new patient. I also expressed three times the need to know if the cat had feline leukemia, and when I was finally able to talk to the vet by phone, he didn’t know if they gave the test! I expressed frustration about this, and only then was the vet able to find out if the test was done and assure me it was negative. Then they put a “WARNING this customer is difficult” note on my chart, which I inadvertently saw the next time I brought the cat in. They insisted I pre-schedule the appointment for the cats booster shots and when I brought the cat in at the scheduled time I was told it was too early for the shots. The vet overheard the conversation and explained to the staff it was the correct time. Then I was charged for another exam even though I just needed the boosters. They said it was policy. When I protested they removed the $80 exam fee. Extremely disorganized and poorly run, but the vet and staff are truly amazing animal lovers.

Dr. Ali is amazing, very professional, compassionate, among other good things. I decided to bring my bulldog here for an emergency, we noticed he was having trouble breathing. Dr. Ali quickly told us he had pneumonia, and also, discovered he had a foreign body on his stomach. Dr. Ali made us feel secure that our baby was in good hands, from the moment we walked in everyone was friendly, helpful. They understood our concerns. Dr. Ali communicated with us all the time from when he went into surgery to went he came out. We look forward to keep coming to see Dr. Ali for his regular routine. I would recommend this ver to everyone. Thank you Dr. Ali

I brought my dog here at around 6:00 pm for emergency services. The woman at the front desk, Angel, was very kind and helped us with checking him in. She has such a kind soul. Dr. Ali was very caring and thorough. He helped us understand the x-rays and explained what everything was. They dispense the medications as needed in-house. Another nurse or technician, I forgot her name, explained how to go about medicating him. The facility was clean and secure. I would definitely recommend coming here. Thank you!

Dr.Ali was amazing and super smart and caring. The entire clinical team was super responsive and attentive to our needs. Would 10000% recommend this place! We took our cat there for an emergency exam when all other pet hospitals were closing up. There were able to get our cat looked at within the hour, and we ended up staying there just past their normal operating hours. Dr Ali and the clinical staff stayed past their expected hours and were super kind the entire time. I also appreciated Dr.Ali taking us through our cat's medical exam and showing us what was going on as well as what we can do to help.

I don’t even know how to begin with how much I love this practice! I brought my dog, Delilah, to Vet for Pet in an emergency a few months back and they were so welcoming, thorough and truly listened to my opinions. I loved them so much I transferred Delilah’s records over there and decided we are here to stay forever. Fast forward, I was away on vacation and she decided to get in to her food bag and ate the food, the scoop inside the bag and the bag itself. My mom brought Delilah to see Dr Ali & Dr Casalle immediately and I knew she would be in good hands. They knew the severity and took her back immediately for X-rays and bloodwork. They were very upfront that they thought it would end up in surgery but wanted to see IF she could pass it on her own before we resulted in that since it’s such an invasive surgery. We took all the right steps and Delilah spent the night with them to monitor her. When she did not pass it we decided to go with surgery and we are so glad we did. The whole team has been SO wonderful. Dr Ali went above and beyond and gave us his cell phone number to check in if we had any concerns once home. He immediately responded to my texts and has been so thorough explaining all the steps of the procedure and after care. You can tell everyone at this practice truly has a passion for animals and really wants the best for your pet. I recommend them to everyone I know!
