How to Save Money at Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

I have taken my two cats here for two years and I couldn’t be happier with the care that they have received from Dr. Weber & the Seven Hills team. When we first arrived, and needed to establish care/assess my cats, Dr. Weber diligently and skillfully sifted through the vet records that I brought, which were in English and three additional languages (due to us coming from living in other countries). Dr. Weber was able to ascertain precisely what they needed and when, despite the language barriers. Over the course of two years, she was also able to quickly and accurately diagnose and treat my cat’s asthma as well as her feline herpes. My cat is much healthier now. I am able to get appointments/services by using the voicemail function, including appointments and prescription updates. The staff is friendly and helpful. Would recommend!

My actual score is 4.5 . These people give great care and genuinely care for our fur kids. They makes sure you have the best information on treatment options. The one thing that can be problematic are their costs. Comparatively, they are more expensive than most vets. This is probably because they have a state of the art facility. . With Seven Hills you will get the best of care and you pay for it. I want the best for my kids and am willing to pay for it.

I took my 2 year old border collie here after he had been attacked by another dog on our walk. They got us in right away and did a full exam on him to check for any puncture wounds. They cleaned him up and the doctor came out to discuss everything with me and what his home care needs to be. The staff was really great! I was still very shaken up over the whole incident and they helped calm me down and made me feel better.

I brought my 14 week old puppy because ge fell and was vomiting. The vet was fine but the tech completely made up her own story. She stated my puppy was in the living room vomiting when I specifically said, with a witness present, he was outside, fell and later inside started vomiting. They did Xray and labs and $1000 later I had to take him to a different ER hospital. Also the tech put his age wrong and listed him as brown and white when he's actually blue Merle (black and white. Never ever go there. Was referred by my vet and my first time. NEVER AGAIN. I complained to 7 hills but no response

I'd like to Thank the 7 Hills staff for all their love, compassion, kindness and support ❤️ we have a 14yr old shih tzu and she has been seen her twice, well this second appointment was not a good news visit and considering her age, the SUPPORT from the staff here is top notch! We Never felt pressured to make any decisions we weren't comfortable with and they were so patient with us while we made decisions, we were always sent home with helpful information and resources. The questions I asked during tough conversations was my fault as they were glad to repeat themselves as it's tough to comprehend anything after bad news. I will say my dog has never had any health issues until now April 2024 and I was not comfortable leaving my kid anywhere as she's already going through enough but the staff was very genuine and build trust between us so I was comfortable leaving her behind for a few hours, when I picked up my kiddo from here surprisingly she looked alot more alert and that confirmed that she was treated with respect and dignity and my family and I couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful care, my little lady had. I feel it's important that we try to be understanding of others in as many situations as possible even when dealing with grief or giving bad news to family or just going through life itself, kindness and understanding will get us far in life even when we don't understand why someone isn't as kind back, this staff is amazing and we will always remember how they made us feel during the most uncertain times in our lives❤️ THANK YOU ALL at 7 Hills veterinary!!
