How to Save Money at Animal Urgent Care
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
My cat, Stink, had to come in early in the morning this week because he wasn’t urinating. They monitored him for a few hours and sent us home. They told me if he didn’t urinate in the next 6-8 hours to bring him back, so I did. They did all sorts of scans, tests, and kept Mr. Stink overnight for monitoring. He unfortunately had to be catheterized. They answer the phone immediately every time you call them and you are able to get updates whenever you need to. He saw 3 separate doctors during his stay and every single one was very nice and understanding of low finances. The last doctor he saw was very compassionate and referred him to the best possible low-cost veterinary office to extend his stay. There was a slight miscommunication while he was staying at this urgent care but I understand completely, they see so many pets every single day. Overall, I recommend this urgent care for all of your pet emergency needs. (Also Jojo up at the front is the nicest person ever)

I could not have asked for better care! On September 1st we brought my sick cat in at 9pm. It was late, we knew something was wrong, they immediately brought him back and gave him something for the pain. Though out the night everyone, front desk, vet techs and the vet were all super friendly and helpful. I never felt like I didn’t know anything. They were sure to give many updates and explain in detail everything they were doing and why! Unfortunately we ended up having to euthanize my kitty and the way it was handled was so incredibly beautiful. They were all so respectful, and understanding. He was treated with such care and love the whole time he was with them. We decided to cremate and we got the ashes back so quick! In less than a week. Then to top it off we got a lovely card. Overall our experience could not have been any better and we are so thankful!

Great experience it was our first time here. My dog Gizmo had got attacked by another dog, and he punctured him under his arm it was bleeding a lot, so we needed to take him in. We were only aware of that one wound. Thankfully we brought him in it was fairly quick check -in they weighed him and brought us on back we did wait a bit in room to be seen but was expected they let you know on sign about how long is wait. We were seen by Dr Wendy Duran, and she was so sweet and kind, very informative, and answered all of our questions. The staff is so kind as well, and the facility inside is nice and family friendly. Our dog Gizmo ended up having 2 other puncture wounds. we didn't see so thankful we found this place and took him in. They sent us home with instructions, antibotics, and everything he'll need. We come back in couple days to get his drains removed. Thank you!! Dr. Duran for helping my dog. Highly recommend this place.

I’ve had great experiences here in the past with my dogs. Very caring front staff and doctor/tech staff are usually very thorough. Recently brought our cat in and would not recommend for cat urgent care. Might be better for emergency cat care, but for after hours urgent care it was not a good experience. They did handle our cat appropriately/safely. I think it’s easy to lose cats in the shuffle compared to dogs. Doctor also stated she wasn’t a cat person, which is fine that you’re not a cat fanatic, but the conversation didn’t instill a lot confidence in me.

Not the review I wanted to make but it's mostly positive. May 15th I was sleeping to wait for my return trip after being gone for a month from Texas to Colorado. My husband called me devasted saying Our baby who just turned 1 on my birthday (may 7th) is severely sick and not doing good so he took him to here and they immediately got on his case to help him. That same night we stopped by and saw him and he was doing amazing. Showed very good signs of improving! Returned home in a very good mood. We picked Kenny up and he was wagging his wittle tail and happy to be with us. We got home and he was quiet but acting very normal!! Until he started declining and having shivers and couldn't stand on his own. We took him right back and we talked plans of giving him fluids as his sodium was lowering and then possibly hospitalization again. At this point we didn't care if we went homeless. We wanted our baby again. Sadly we had to euthanize our son because he couldn't fight no more. This was my first dog and I never liked dogs until I picked him up in texas on July 5th 2023. The Crew, staff, front desk person, EVERYBODY are so darn kind, caring and all things positive. It was worth the 40 minute trips and I cannot thank you guys enough. R.I.P Kenny ❤️❤️ psa, any small dog owners, big dog owners too, BEWARE OF THE FAKE DOG TREATS!!! My baby died from accidental sodium poisoning because of a frequently sued company who supplies BULLYMAKE their "healthy dog treats" because they add sodium and won't say how much they put in there!! Make your own dog treats please I'm begging you. Me and my husband cry every single day because now our home is quiet and our routine is to sleep alot 💔❤️
