How to Save Money at Low Cost Pet Vaccines of Los Angeles - One Generation Parking Lot

Schedule Regular Vet Visits

One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.

Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions

Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.

Pet Insurance

Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Getting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask

Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:

Tell me about your experience with [pet type].

Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.

How do you handle emergencies?

You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.

How do you communicate with pet owners?

Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.

Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?

Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.

Do you have any questions for me about my pet?

This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.

Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?

Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

Edit: Jiji has been really sick this week after the rabies shot. 90 BPM and low appetite, he's already lost weight. Today I'm taking him to emergency again hopefully they'll find out what's going on. I'm super scared and frustrated that I went to this horrible vaccination place. Stay away from this place, take your pets to a real clinic because the so called vet won't take accountability for your pets health. There's not even an office to bring your pet. They just pop up at any park, collect your money and leave. I'll keep updating. Please take care of your babies. This "clinic" should be closed for good. They're just making damage to our communities. Beware cat parents! And all in general. My kitty, 4 months old is very sick after getting rabies vax from this “low cost clinic “. I’ve spent more than 300 so far trying to get diagnosis for my poor baby who got accelerated breathing immediately after the shot. If the vet was careful and had some sympathy for the poor animals, he would have told me that my 100 per cent indoor kitty doesn’t even need the rabies vaccine. He wanted to administer 3 vaccines at once. I said no only rabies because I thought it was absolutely necessary. But getting a second opinion from a real vet, he said there’s no way Jiji would get rabies and having already 3 vaccines administered at the shelter, he’s already protected. Protect your babies and do your research before to know if your cat needs the rabies, probably not. Stay away from this low quality clinic, vet won’t take responsibility for whatever happens to your pet. Don’t be like me. Now I’m super sad because my super healthy kitty got sick and is all my fault, for trusting people that only care about MONEY. Also, is no low cost, at the vet clinic in Rosecrans and Yukon, vaccines are much less. Saturdays even cheaper. And good quality vaccines. Hope this helps.

Lovely staff. It was an easy process to get my dogs vaccinated. Got in line. Filled out the paperwork. Veterinarian goes down the line to confirm the shots and then you pay while you're in line. When you're next, they have the shots ready and done. The lines get long but it moves along pretty quickly. Prices are decent.

I appreciate everyone's time and services to those ( including myself ) for low cost vaccines for our fur babies, the veterinarians are so pricey and thats why we can't always afford vaccines due to high cost office visits on top of vaccines, should be against the law..we're trying to keep our pets healthy and vet bills make it impossible at times...

I own a dog rescue. During the pandemic this was the only place working and had good prices. The experience was terrible before. So here is the update July 2022. They have a few new staff members and the customer service has improved a lot. For the past few months that I have been taking dogs to get vaccinated there has been only great service. There is also no more scribbling on the papers. Now the paperwork looks professional. No more filling out more than one pet on the same sheet. Every pet gets their own individual record sheet. If you had a bad experience before here give them another try and see how it goes. If you go to any other veterinary for vaccines they want an exam done on your pet first which costs about $75. Then they charge about $45 per vaccine. So you will spend about $200 at the vet. The vaccines here at their events are at low cost and do not require an exam. A veterinarian is there to answer all your questions. By getting your pet vaccinated with this organization you will only spend $70 for three vaccines. No appointments are necessary. The events are every weekend at different locations. Be sure to check schedule online. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Thank you for being a loving caring pet parent.

I needed to get my pup her first shots. To my surprise they were open on Easter Sunday! The easy to find facility was outdoors and the entire staff were so nice and knowledgeable! They kept my pup at ease and answered all of my questions. With my coupon (you can find on the website!), for $134, I was able to get her 1st puppy shots, deworming, microchip, 1 month flea treatment and nails trimmed...all done in less than 30 minutes! What a good deal & great experience!
