How to Save Money at Echo Vet Cardio
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
This has to be the best pet/vet experience we've ever had and we have 4 animals for more than a decade. Dr.jung is outstanding. Po was diagnosed by our local vet with heart disease and was recommend at least two drugs daily. I wasn't having any of it and walked out. I went to the internet, google, reddit and Facebook - couldn't say enough good things about Dr.jung and his team. We are 3 hours away from his team and spent about 8 hours total driving to get to him. We were expecting the worst since making the appointment and coming down to socal. Dr.Jung and his team looked over X-rays, took a ton more information than they needed and ran an echo on Po's heart. Dr.jung came into the office and told us something that I would have never expected. I had to get up out of my seat, had trouble understanding the news he was telling us. We live at high elevation, think top of big bear climate. Turns out that Po has high blood pressure and being on top of the mountain isn't great for his heart. Needless to say he recommended blood pressure meds and to call back if they didn't work. We're on day two and Po is wagging his tail and acting like a puppy again at 11 years old. All his symptoms are gone. Dr.jung got it right when our local vet didn't. I would go to dr.jung for any related heart problems in the future. He knows what he is doing and tells it to you straight. Can't be more over the moon right now knowing po is in good shape. If your vet said your animal has heart related problems it's worth getting a second opinion from Dr.Jung. He knows his stuff and can't be more thankful for his staff and clinic. If they do indeed have heart related illnesses/disease I'm confident their team will make a plan to get your pet back on track.

Abe was just absolutely amazing & super accommodating at getting my little boy Scrambles in with such a short notice after we showed up without an appointment. When we finally did go in for our appointment the vet tech (Sorry I didn't catch her name!)& Dr. Jung were super nice! Highly recommend! I would give them a higher rating if I could!

Dr. Jung performed a surgery for my French bulldog’s pulmonic stenosis - everything went according to plan and we had a check up several months later to confirm the surgery improved my dog’s condition. It was successful, we were able to take him off of all medications, and we no longer need to worry about it reducing his life expectancy! The best outcome we could have asked for.

My cat was recently given a bad diagnosis of CHF and was told to get an ultrasound to be sure. We brought our kitty of 17+ years here. They got him in even when they were very busy which I am so so appreciative of. They took my kitty and made sure he got everything he needed to be sure that what I thought was the answer was for sure the answer. They made sure he was comfortable and helped us make the hardest decision I've ever had to. I needed to know what I was doing was the right thing, and the whole team and especially Dr. Jung helped us do that. They also helped us connect with the other animal hospital in the facility to take him out of his misery as soon as possible. Thank you so so so much. I am so grateful for everything. I would more than recommend this office for any service they provide that you find yourself in need for. I loved this team so much, I wish they were my kitty's normal doctors the whole time.

I was referred to Echo Vet Cardio when my dog Harley began to cough violently and suddenly. I rushed to the emergency hospital where I dropped him off for the evening with grim hope he would pull through. He made it through the night but due to the emergency vet being only open 8 PM to 8 AM I had to find somewhere Harley could continue to remain on a dopamine drip to continue his treatment. Several vet offices later and no dopamine I was finally referred to Echo Vet cardio. I should mention while I was at the emergency vet the second one I had been to that morning, a call to see if we could fit me in was made and Dr. Jung was kind enough to tell me to come right over and he would squeeze me in between patients. I couldn’t get there fast enough. Upon arriving to Echo Vet Cardio I met Jenna who couldn’t be more sweet, she walked us right back to a room and told me Dr. Jung would be with me. Harley was taken back from his Exam and testing and I waited nervously. Dr. Jung came in bringing Harley back with him. He explained to me in detail, and a language I could understand not a bunch of medical jargon. Harley is in CHF and we would do what we could to try and manage it. He was compassionate and caring when I broke down crying explaining this was my baby (I don’t have children) and I’ve had his for 19 years. He didn’t make me feel uncomfortable or awkward for being so emotional. He instead gave me words of encouragement but was realistic in what was going on. I have continued to see Dr. Jung consistently and a month ago I was really feeling like I’d have to let Harley go. I am so happy to say Harley is still here. I’m forever grateful that Dr. Jung has given me more time with Harley. It’s been a bumpy road and that’s not due to any error in Dr. Jung’s treatment. As another reviewer said I know I am on borrowed on time due to Harley’s age. I truly could not find one thing bad to say about them. The staff is some of the kindest people I have ever met, and they are so good with Harley. I will gladly bring my other animals here should they need cardio treatment and highly recommend Dr. Jung and his staff to anyone looking for cardiology care for their pet. Harley and I are both so grateful we found Echo Vet Cardio so we both get to spend more time with one another. Thank you Dr. Jung I am eternally grateful for all you and your staff have done to support and help Harley.
