How to Save Money at Roseville Animal Medical Center
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google

I have been to many Vets in the past 8 years. Most of the Vets have been a bit disappointing and unfortunately, I haven’t found a Vet that I am confident about. But I saw that this Vet was having a grand opening & decided to try it out. I have never heard of Dr. Singh nor did I know anything about him. I didn’t read any reviews either. After my very first visit with one of my Bengal cats, I felt a true difference after leaving. Dr. Singh was very knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions. He did not try to rush me but quite the opposite…He made me feel like he cared about my pet’s well being and listened to all of my concerns. He also made me feel comfortable and confident about his expertise. I even called back several times with many more questions and he continued to help me. Dr. Singh’s calm and kind demeanor is very inviting especially when you are stressed about your pet and their well being. I have to say that I am shocked that I found a Vet that cares about our animals. It’s taken 8 years. I am very happy with my decision to bring my pets here. And another plus is it’s in Roseville! Not that far from me. I am so happy with this place. Finally, I found a wonderful Vet. Thank you for your services. Us pet owners need to feel confident about bringing our babies somewhere when they are not feeling well and know that they are taken care of with knowledgeable and caring staff. I never write reviews but I felt this one was much needed and I hope others will bring their pets here. Thank you so much for caring about my babies!!

Honored to be the first reviewer! Dr Singh has been my vet for 13 years at his previous location. After a short stint in Corporate veterinary care he decided to go back to private practice ownership. Such a rare move these days but not surprising from a veterinarian whose work ethic is unmatched. Now make no mistake, this man is not your regular vet, Dr Singh is not only a true animal lover, he is also the best veterinarian you will get to meet; sharp mind, finely honed skills, expert diagnostician, outstanding surgeon, this is the vet you want by your side when disaster strikes or when you want to make sure that no rock will be left unturned. You know this coveted skill that everybody talks about: “Sharp attention to detail”? This is what I am talking about and being in the human medical field myself I definitely notice the good and the bad in a blink and I have to say that Dr Singh left me completely stunned quite a few times because of how quick and accurate he is in his diagnoses. Few examples come to mind but I still remember one instance of him glancing at a dog in the waiting area for a split second (he was walking out of an exam room with another client) and saying “this dog is bleeding internally, she needs to be taken into surgery right away”, scrubbing in and within minutes saving this dog’s life! He was in our corner when my 16 years old cat Edouard was diagnosed with a deadly cancer and given 4 months to live. Thanks to his dedicated care we got our Edouard 3 more YEARS. Edouard died at the ripe age of 19. On the day we said our goodbyes to our beloved cat Dr Singh and Jamie made sure his last moments were completely painless and stress free. They are there with you all the way… My other cat is “super senior” she is 21 years old and is still with us as I type this! So all this to say that I would never ever consider taking my animals elsewhere! They are stuck with me! Dr Singh, Jamie, Sarah and Roseville Animal Medical Center team: We are going to Roseville with you! (Verify my review at the other place)

Dr. Singh and his staff were extremely polite and helpful. His pricing is very fair, and he is a very kind vet. He listens to you and will work with you to try and help you save money. I am very satisfied with my puppies' first exam here and plan to stay with Dr. Singh indefinitely.

Dr. Singh saw my dog, Molly, on November 1, 2024. She has been experiencing hind leg problems for a couple of months. Despite visiting other veterinary clinics, we haven't found a solution. Dr. Singh is committed to diagnosing Molly's condition and determining the best treatment plan. He personally scheduled a follow-up appointment for Monday and even called me after hours. I appreciate his consideration of Molly's young age. I highly recommend Dr. Singh!
