Douglas Boulevard Veterinary Clinic

I am so very grateful to find this clinic for my best fur friend. She is a rescue kitty who needed to establish care and comes with a lot of past trauma. The staff here extend such calm supportive space. Not fear or force. I left feeling very informed and empowered to give my cat the best life she deserves and am excited we now have a place to go for support.

This is 3 stars (and not less) because of the hospital manager, certain highly knowledgable vets, and the support staff including Dani and Kacey who are great advocates for pets. Unfortunately their fear-free status is very confusing and has caused a lot of stress! Brought the dog in, he was agitated during his exam, as dogs can be at the vet. I was then given free sedatives for next time but told they were optional. Tried the drugs and they made the dog super dopey when he got a vacinne, and he was more nervous after leaving that day than he has ever been. Tried my own sedative of choice at home to safely test it, and when I got there, multiple people were pushy about using their own super dopey sedatives. Unfortunately they can't let go of these non-wrongdoings that any typical pet owner might experience. It seems kind of immature to me. As a pet owner who knows his dog well enough, his reaction to DBVC and their sedatives were red flags. It seems they have enough happy customers whose dogs are always perfect, so I'm sure this review is just a flash in the pan. I hope they can improve these issues so future clients don't have to be so frustrated and scared.

Got my rescue kitty's during 2020 and had to get them neutered. The vet office took them in, right away, and their procedure went smoothly. The office is now open for office visits. Had the opportunity to take our dog in to meet Dr. Foster, and what an awesome doctor. My pup loved him so much we decided to introduce our cats to him. So far, so good

Four messages in four days and no one even called me back. Then, when I can finally get a person on the phone, they tell me they want to see my dog immediately. Then they tell me that the next appointment available is three weeks. I would suggest going somewhere else and forming a relationship with a clinic that has not taken on too many new clients and therefore have no time for existing clients.

Love this vet. Accurately diagnosed one of my cats after a failure to diagnose him by another vet. For my second cat, he is very anxious and needed a sedative as we had to move him on an 8 hour trip and the vet prescribed a very effective one and the trip was a breeze. Moved out of state and will miss Douglas Blvd vets. Oh and their prices are super reasonable and staff really care about your pet!
