How to Save Money at Brava Pharmacy
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I have had nothing but positive experiences from this place. The staff, the customer service, the quick deliveries (sent with tracking info)… everything has been great. This is the only place I go to for my cat’s medication. I highly recommend!

I was initially worried when GGVCP transitioned to Brava Pharmacy, as the transition period was not super smooth in terms of online refills, etc. However, a few key items have been vastly improved for me after the transition, which are actually more important for me: 1. My refills are lightning fast now. Order processing used to take a few days or up to a week until they would ship. The last two times I have refilled my cat's meds, the shipping has been the same day! This literally never happened before and I couldn't be happier about it (since I can never remember to reorder until my bottle is nearly empty). 2. Brava changed the formulation of one of my cat's meds to a shelf stable formula. The alleviated the need for very costly overnight shipping and has saved me a ton of money! I have not tried to refill orders online yet, but it looks like it might be possible now? Anyway, the phone ordering is very fast, and these two changes above have made a great impression on me. Thank you Brava!

My Lincoln needed his heart meds right away. Person I talked to was very helpful and got them ordered and they are on there way by mail! Great service!

I like that they reminding you to refill your pet's prescription. They fill the prescription quickly, send you a text informing you that it's ready for pickup. Staff is helpful & friendly.

I have always had good service here. They normally take 5-7 days to ship a refill. Last Friday, as I was going out of town, I checked my USPS account and noticed that my Annie's thyroid medicine was delivered on the 5th and left on the front steps. I had checked each day as someone typically lets the mailman in the building. Not this time. Her meds had been stolen out of the front door alcove. Ugh! I called them to let them know what had happened. The kind person asked how much medicine I had left and I said enough to get through the weekend. As I was driving out of town, two hours later, I got a call and text from them saying her meds were ready to be picked up. Same day! I was so touched by their concern and incredible service. Thank you! An unfortunate update. Golden Gate Compounding Pharmacy has been such a great provider of meds for my dear cat Annie. When Brava took over, the turn around on a refill of Methimazole went from 5 days to 1 day! I was amazed and optimistic, until I gave Annie the first dose. Turns out the formula changed from water based to oil based, without notice. After dosing her with a .5 ml syringe worth of the new formula, ,m 16 year old cat ran off my lap faster than I’ve seen her run in years. She then started coughing and retching so that I thought she was going to die. She hasn’t, even after three doses. After much effort and worry about getting a replacement, Brava blamed the formula chain on supply chain issues. The tech said that cats had been responding poorly to the new formula. They had available a high concentrate version, requiring only a .1 ml dose. My vet had concerns about such a concentrated dose and referred me to Roadrunner Pharmacy in AZ. They also got Feel Good Pharmacy in Pacifica to make a small amount to get Annie through the weekend. Needless to say, it was a very stressful period. As a bonus, the ease with which Annie took the meds twice a day is gone as is the trust she had in me not to hurt her. The lap time in her favorite chair is no more. I love this cat so and she is 16 years old. I’ve asked Brava about a refund, or if they would like the unused 177 dose bottle back. No reply.
