How to Save Money at Affordable Animal Hospital NOHO
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

DO NOT GO HERE… This could have been a good experience but I feel that whoever owns/runs this place is only there to scam whoever they can out of money. I was charged for a test that I never got results for. They claimed only the doctor can give me results but I’m guessing the test was never done and they just hope I forget about this. I don’t blame the people who helped me. To be fair they were kind and appeared to have treated my baby well. Thankfully I didn’t choose to run the rest of the tests they recommended because it would have been money wasted. I have to take my kitty elsewhere to figure it what’s wrong. Additionally, my insurance requires the doctor’s notes. I’ve not received that even though I’ve asked them multiple times. The way I see it, they owe me almost $300 for a test they claimed to have done that I’ve not seen results for. Go elsewhere, especially if you have insurance. They will never provide you with the documents you need to submit your claim.

Best Animal hospital in NOHO!!! I took my corgi doggo in because she had an ear infection and the service was so fast and simple and the prices are great. The staff is so sweet and nice! They have a cute waiting area with some coffee and tea and the whole place was so clean as well. The vet is super thorough and made sure to check my doggo was fine and he is the sweetest and nicest vet ever!!!. My dog is usually scared of people but she was super happy with the whole staff, she was super relaxed and calm which made me super happy. I will definitely come back in the future for my dog's vaccines and anything else my doggo needs!

My cat had a very large bump & I took her to Affordable Animal Hospital and they wanted to do a bunch of tests, ($1000) I asked them to please just give me the test to tell me what the bump is ($400) they, reluctantly, agreed & never called me to tell me what the lab results were . I called and left a message after 1 week, I got no call back so I called back in two more days and was told the doctor is not in he won't be in till next Monday meeting two weeks since I took my cat in there so I just went and got a copy of my lab report and went to Ambassador Animal Hospital with doctors that actually care about animals. This place isn't that affordable and their bedside manner sucks don't take your animal here

Nice, affordable, easy to get appointments. Vet is good, staff is good, they made the dog comfortable and took time for the checkup. They found out that our dog had fever, kept her for some time to bring the temperature down. Other affordable vets we had been to did a very superficial checkup. Not the case here.

Where do i start. The staff is nice, and very compassionate. The techs are amazing with your pets, and Dr. Cho is really compassionate, and is very informative. He sits you down, and explains all options, and all possible outcomes. We took our Boots there to have some teeth extracted, so Dr. Cho took out the problem teeth, but let us know that he has gingivitis, and might need the rest removed. Well today we took him in to get the rest of his teeth removed. Let me tell you it isn't cheap to get these extractions done, but they are most affordable, and the whole atmosphere, along with the Dr. Being great, we have found our forever vet. You gotta come and see. They are open 7 days a week, for the busy people. Dr. Cho did his first extractions on a Saturday. You bring in your pet in the morning, and pick them up in the afternoon. Very happy with Affordable Animal Hospital NOHO. They gave us a discount on the procedures, which makes it even better. I would also like to give a Shout out to Victor the Vet Tech. He was super nice, and very knowledgeable about any questions we asked. Compassionate, and LOVES my BOOTS.
