How to Save Money at Urgent Care Animal Hospital
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
This place is definitely a scam. Do not take your pet to this place. I took my cat to this place because they have emergency service. After a long wait I was able to see the doctor. And my cat has eye issues and ear issues. They charged me $150 for cleaning my cat's ear but there's still a lot debris left in his ear. Are you kidding me????? And when I called them to ask why they did such a bad job their explanation is my cat's ear is "extremely dirty". Excuse me???? If my cat's ear is nice and clean why on earth would I pay you $150 to clean his ear? And you told me you already did your best. Who would say that after seeing the pictures of my cat's ears? And the guys name is Edward. I have been to other hospitals. They charge me less and did a better job. Do your pets a favor, find another responsible place.

I highly recommend the Urgent Care Animal Hospital in Eagle Rock. Me and my mom took our cat in because she was very sick. They told us she was in critical condition and she needed to stay there at the hospital to be treated. They explained everything to us and even helped us with the cost because it was an amount we could not afford. The doctor's and technicians were very kind to both our cat and to us. They always asked if we had any questions. They took such good care of our cat. She went through a lot for months but today because of the caring doctor's and technicians she is fully recovered. She would not be alive if not for them. All of the staff there were very kind. This place not only cares for your pet but for the owners also. We were always treated so nicely there. At one point our cat had to have bandages that look like she was wearing a pair of leggings. They were pink with hearts. Alex the technician did a great job at putting the bandages on her. I cannot say enough about how great their service is but the best part is they all have very kind and loving hearts. Again I thank the doctors, technicians and all the staff for taking wonderful care of our Bebe. If not for you I would have lost my BCFF (Best Cat Friend Forever)😊❤️

I was very impressed and greatful to the staff at this clinic. They are very service oriented and caring. Felt my pup was in good hands. The receptionist are warm and friendly. The techs are really sharp and compassionate. The Vet was thorough explained everything to me and was so open to questions. I had to leave my dog overnight for immediate care. I love that they initiate update calls and really spent time letting me know how my dog was doing. They were truly awesome.

Some reviewers wrote concerning whether the reviews were real -- this is a real review. Took my dog here as I was having difficulty getting previous doctors to listen to my concerns - figure out what was going on with my dog. So this was a new vet experience so I was nervous. The Doctor and staff were very courteous, kind and attentive. The doctor was thorough and listened to all my concerns and went out if his way to educate me on the condition options. Highly recommended.

We were in need of an emergency visit in the evening. This animal hospital had availability and was able to help with an urgent surgery. They took great care of our dog and we were able to go back home that same night. After the surgery, we had some follow-up appointments that were very helpful and efficient. I highly recommend this animal hospital!
