How to Save Money at Eagle Rock Emergency Pet Clinic
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
I recently had to take my dog to Eagle Rock Emergency, and I couldn't be more impressed with the care we received. From the moment we walked in, the staff was amazing. They were incredibly compassionate and professional, making a stressful situation much easier to handle. The veterinarians and support staff were attentive, thorough, and genuinely cared about my dog's well-being. They took the time to explain everything in detail and answered all my questions with patience and expertise. The level of care provided was outstanding, and I felt confident that my dog was in the best hands possible. Thank you to everyone at Eagle Rock Emergency Hospital (specially Loren that answered all my calls) for your dedication and exceptional service. You truly made a difference, and I am forever grateful for the care you provided to my furry friend.

The staff and doctors were so very nice and helpful. They explained ask the charges and what was going to be done. My cat came in with a broken fang tooth. The doctor took xrays and blood work so they could do surgery the next day. He gave my Chloe a shot to help with the pain. The next day we dropped Chloe off and they called me saying that another 2 teeth might be pulled did I want then to do it. I told them yes. When we went to pick Chloe up they said that they only had to pull 2 teeth instead of 3. The price they charged was pretty reasonable. They called me the next day to see how Chloe was doing. I like that they are open until 11pm. If I ever need a vet when my regular vet is closed I will be going back here. It's about a 40 minute drive but they are worth it.

We came here after having a terrible experience at VCA ANIMAL SPECIALTY GROUP. Never go that place. At Eagle Rock they sowed us real love care and understanding of how bad and terrified we were after some dogs or coyotes attacked our cat CoCo They did everything they possibly could to save her, but unfortunately after 7 hard days and several surgeries she didn't make it. I was in a tough financial situation and these people did the job with a very reasonable price. We are very grateful to the team and special thanks to doctor Kenedy, what a great person.

Not one to write a lot of reviews, but I do feel obliged to mention our awesome experience with Dr. Kennedy and team. Any time a pet needs a doctor visit, leave alone an ER clinic, it is absolutely nerve-wracking. Call it unconditional love or just the fact that no matter how close one is, there's no telling what goes on in a pet's mind when it comes to medical issues. On the admin side, the team helped us schedule a surgery for Ginger's fox-tail removal within minutes, took good care of her at the hospital while waiting for surgery, explained the expected procedure very clearly and simply, and provided an itemized list of costs - all over the phone, putting us at ease through each step. On the actual medical care, it is surely fair to judge the book by the cover in this case. The way Ginger's foot was taped post-surgery speaks volumes of their attention to details and care during the whole process. All this highlighted further during the conversation with one of the staff (huge shout out to Angelina) when we went to pick up our pup. We were greeted to the same sense of unconditional love we have towards Ginger and that's when you can safely assume she was in great hands through tumultuous times for all. I hope this helps clear the air on some of the negative reviews here. We were equally skeptical before making the call, but it seemed like the better choice among other places around town. Can happily say it was not just better, but probably the best choice out there when minutes are precious and you are completely clueless about how to get medical help for your pet. I do hope everyone's experience is as positive as ours and every pet that enters their facility gets treated with the same love and care Dr. Kennedy and team showed Ginger. Thank you all and wish you the best!

Dr. Kennedy is one of the most kind and empathetic doctors I have ever worked with. She had never met me and spoke to me about my Runty like we were long time friends. We had to say goodbye to our best friend of 12 years and she understood how deep the bond is between me and my kitty and was there to talk me through everything we went through. I can't put into words how grateful I am for how she handled us having to say our last goodbye and it means the world to me that it was so stress free. Dr and staff were also VERY accommodating. I really appreciate this hospital and may God bless everyone here.
